| Moon Knight Thor 4 Connection Possibly Revealed Posted: 02 May 2022 03:03 PM PDT A rumor circulating in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is a possible connection between the show Moon Knight and the new Thor sequel. Moon Knight is almost ending, and the show’s finale promises some big reveals, as we saw in the latest trailer. However, rumor has it that apparently, the final villain to appear in Moon Knight will also be in Thor: Love and Thunder. We still can’t confirm these rumors, but if true, Thor: Love and Thunder‘s villain Gorr the God Butcher, played by Christian Bale, will appear in Moon Knight‘s series finale. Although they were only rumors, in the beginning, this theory gains more strength every day. In a recent interview, Moon Knight’s writer, Beau DeMayo, was asked about this theory. Although he did not clarify much, his way of expression made the fans think.
A possible crossover is on the table with the end of the series and the movie’s premiere. We must remember that Marvel Studios and Disney connect all the stories surrounding the MCU. We saw in the past how the shows WandaVision and Loki opened the doors for the multiverse, and now Spider-Man: No Way Home and Dr. Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will take us further in it. Possible Tie-In RevealedGenerally, rumors stemming from Marvel movies and shows are usually accurate. The Moon Knight Thor 4 possible connection rumor has been going strong in various circles of the Marvel world and social media. Everything seems to indicate that we will discover a connection to Thor’s story in the last episode of Moon Knight. It’s still unclear whether the connection will be through Konshu or Christian Bale’s Gorr the God Butcher, but fans are already creating theories to help connect the dots. All of this opens up possibilities of bringing together several characters from the Marvel world through a villain they would have in common. DeMayo was asked about the possibility of having Gorr the God Butcher end Konshu and release Marc Spector from his pact. He neither denied nor affirmed the rumors, stressing that he had no idea what the screenwriters of Thor 4 had written. Thor: Love and Thunder Premiere ApproachingThor: Love and Thunder‘s premiere is approaching. The film is already making a lot of buzz for the movie’s plot. From the trailers and images of this production, we can see Jane with the powers of the god of thunder. We must remember that in this story, the powers pass from Thor to Jane at some point. Natalie Portman will be in charge of becoming the new Thor, while Christian Bale will bring Gorr the God Butcher to life. With this release date and having the series finale for Moon Knight coming soon, Disney may have time to add new elements in the post-credits scene. Thor: Love and Thunder promises everything: action, romance, suspense, and, knowing the Norse god, a bit of comedy. We will have to wait for its release to determine if it will relate to any other Marvel production besides Guardians of the Galaxy. As the saying goes, “Every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end.” It may be the case where the end of Moon Knight will show us the beginning of the new Thor sequel. | John Woo’s The Killer Remake Coming To Peacock Posted: 02 May 2022 02:06 PM PDT The movie area’s news always leaves us amazed, but this one left many movie fans speechless. The famous movie The Killer will have a remake in English, and its director will be none other than John Woo, the original version’s director. Peacock, the streaming platform, is producing this new version. This movie is one of the three productions that this company will start production this month to acquire potential subscribers. Two more films that Universal Studios are creating will be on the platform.  Image via Media Asia Entertainment Group For many, John Woo wants to close his career in cinema with a flourish. Not only did he make the original version of The Killer, which boosted his career, giving him recognition. Woo has also produced other well-known films such as Mission: Impossible 2 and Face-Off with John Travolta and Nicolas Cage. With this new remake, he can close his career with the same film that made him known. Peacock Announces Remake of John Woo’s The KillerPeacock announced a remake of the movie The Killer, which will be produced by this broadcasting company and directed by John Woo. Although not with the same actors, it will feature the same characters as the previous version. One of the actresses that will participate in this production is Lupita Nyong’o, who participated in the Marvel movie Black Panther. She has not yet made a statement on the matter, although Peacock has already confirmed her participation. The rest of the cast has not been announced; however, it is expected to be a stellar cast. The plot will be the same as the original version, although we expect new developments, taking advantage of current technologies. We hope this John Woo’s The Killer remake is full of action, just like the 80s version. Peacock’s Proposal for SubscribersPeacock’s proposal to compete in the streaming service market is to offer quality productions. It seeks to satisfy the tastes of different customers and potential subscribers. In short, they will seek to attract them by meeting their entertainment needs to capture their loyalty subsequently. The Killer is one of the films that will be part of its platform to attract as many subscribers as possible. Peacock will also include two more productions made in collaboration with Universal Studios: Shooting Stars, following Lebron James‘ high school years, and Praise This, a comedy-drama about a community church choir. Release dates for each of these are not yet available, although planned for next year. Peacock seems to be aiming at excellence with their new additions. The Killer’s remake is one of those films that might get Peacock to the top of the streaming platforms. This story is about an assassin who accidentally blinds a nightclub singer while doing one last job. The killer then has to assassinate a very influential boss to pay for eye surgery for the singer. We can see a compilation of the best moments of the series in it. In addition, at the end of the trailer, we could also enjoy unreleased footage of the last episode of the season. This show has been one of the best series of Marvel Studios so far, and there is only one episode left to finish the season. However, many questions remain unresolved, and fans wonder if these questions can resolve in this final installment. Will this last episode be able to answer all the questions? Questions Raised by the New Moon Knight TrailerMoon Knight’s New Trailer hasn’t revealed much information. The series still has many open fronts and questions yet to be answered. According to insider Amit Chaudhari, the episode will last between 42 and 45 minutes. Some fans are nervous that this episode can answer so many questions in such a short time. Here are some of them: Will there be Season 2? (Image: Marvel Studios) For now, the only series in Phase 4 of the UCM that has a confirmed second season is Loki. Moon Knight, might be limited to just this premiere. However, if we pay attention to the Moon Knight new trailer, the description says, “This Wednesday, experience the epic season finale of Marvel Studios”. Here it refers to the end of the “season” and not “series”. Ethan Hawke, the actor who plays Arthur Harrow, commented the following in an interview with Entertainment Weekly. “One of the surprises for me was the process. We developed all the episodes, and we had Mohamed and this team of Justin [Benson] and Aaron [Moorhead], and everyone was present for all the rehearsals. Now, it’s only my second limited series, but I’ve never seen that happen.” Despite calling the series “Limited” to this season, it’s not ruled out that we may see the character in other Marvel Studios productions. Will we have a Final Cameo?If you haven’t seen the series WandaVision or Hawkeye, watch out because we will talk about spoilers. We had two important cameos in these two predecessor series to Moon Knight. In WandaVision, we had the stellar appearance of Evan Peter, who gave life to Pietro Maximoff/Quicksilver in the X-Men movie saga. | Superman: Son of Kal-El Debuts Jon’s New Look Posted: 02 May 2022 11:53 AM PDT More shake-ups are coming to Superman: Son of Kal-El, with Jay Nakamura giving Jon Kent a new cape. If you haven’t caught up with the latest developments in this Superman comic, you might want to look away now! One of the colorists of the series, named Triona Tree Farrell, shared a picture of the story for DC Pride 2022. This anthology will feature a bunch of one-shot stories from LGBTQ+ characters across the DC universe. Recent Developments in Superman: Son of Kal-El
In Superman: Son of Kal-El, Jon Kent is the son of the popular superhero, Superman. However, unlike his father, Jon Kent is bisexual and has a boyfriend named Jay Nakamura. It is Jay who gives Jon the new cape. The cape is Pride-themed to tie in with the message of DC Pride 2022. It gives Jon a way to show off his true colors to the world. So, this seems to suggest that we might be getting a new look for the popular figure. The last time we saw Clark Kent, he was forced to leave the Earth to deal with other threats. So, this meant that his son had to take the role of Superman and protect Earth in the meantime. The preview issue shows Jon meeting Jay, with the latter individual giving Jon the cape. Furthermore, looking closely, there is a figure hiding in the background, who appears to be Damian Wayne. Comic fans will remember Damian as the son of Bruce Wayne or Batman. Damian and Jon are best friends in the series. It seems like they will have plenty of adventures together in the future, perhaps even in Superman: Son of Kal-El. Jon Kent’s Coming Out Story
Way back in issue 5 of Superman: Son of Kal-El, readers, saw Jon Kent come out as being part of the LGBT+ community. It was not until five issues later that he told his mother, Lois Lane, the truth and came out as bisexual. Jon’s boyfriend, Jay, is a journalist in charge of a news website determined to reveal the truth about the world. So, it makes sense he called his new site “The Truth”! Likewise, Jay has started to exhibit some superpowers, and we have a feeling we’ll see some more of them in future issues of Superman: Son of Kal-El. Moreover, the decision to make Jon an LGBT+ character was not something that the writers took lightly. However, they still thought that it was important for them to include this fact in the series. One of the writers of the series, Tom Taylor, stated that “Superman’s symbol has always stood for hope, for truth, and for justice. Today, that symbol represents something more. Additionally, This one-shot of Superman: Son of Kal-El is part of a large anthology release titled DC Pride 2022. The writers for Superman’s story, titled “Super Pride,” are Nick Robles, Devin Grayson, and Aditya Bidikar. Naturally, fans can expect plenty of other famous faces from the DC universe to make an appearance in DC Pride 2022. Tim Drake, Poison Ivy, and Harley Quinn are just some of the ones that we know for a fact will appear. As part of the introduction to the collection, Nicola Maines discussed the importance of representation and how “Seeing yourself in the media you consume is validating in a way that says, ‘You are not alone.'” She discussed how important it was for her, as a “young trans girl growing up in rural Maine,” to see this representation in the media that she loved. | Who is Jim Lee? Biography Of A Legend Posted: 02 May 2022 10:34 AM PDT Behind this celebrity and authentic living star, Jim Lee is a psychologist, comic book artist, editor, and talented storyteller. He has worked with characters of great complexity, with dark facets that endow them with humanity. Born in Korea and immigrated to the United States at an early age, it is not surprising that in his childhood, he felt identified with the X-Men, a group of characters who, despite having superpowers, live on the fringes of society. Jim Lee participated in the X-Men, Superman, Batman, and, more recently, the Suicide Squad. From South Korea to St. LouisJim Lee was born in Seoul, the capital of South Korea, in 1964 in a typical middle-class family. His father was a very famous anesthesiologist in his city. Still, they decided to emigrate to the United States in the middle of the Vietnam War due to the demand for doctors. Those were difficult times for the child Jim Lee who did not know the English language. However, he discovered the library of his city, which served him as a refuge. Despite not knowing the language, they had a section of comics, and it was love at first sight. During his childhood, Lee identified with the arts. His first activity was drawing posters for school plays at River Bend Elementary School, Chesterfield. He spent his afternoons reading and drawing, although, to his parents, this seemed like a waste of time. Jim didn’t have their support at first because they thought he wouldn’t have a future in that area. One day, when his mother discovered his comic book collection, she threw it in the trash. In the last year of his career, he took a drawing elective, where he found art as a discipline. And so, after graduating college, Lee decided against his parents to take a sabbatical year to dedicate himself fully to drawing comics. He drew 2 to 3 pages a day, from 8 to 12 hours. At that time, the comics industry was still in its infancy and did not present great opportunities. As expected, Jim was not very successful at first. All publishers rejected him on more than one occasion, but some friends advised him to contact the publishers personally. At a convention in New York, he met veteran comic book artist Archie Goodwin, who at the time was an editor at Marvel Comics, and helped him get hired by Marvel. His Career at Marvel ComicsYoung Jim Lee received his first assignment on the Alpha Flight series, which dealt with a group of Canadian mutants, was initially called Crisis in Canada, and studied the beginnings of Wolverine on the X-men. Later, he was transferred to Punisher: War Journal as an artist, where Frank Castle is the protagonist. It was created under the influence of a series like Mack Bolan’s The Executioner, where he also plays a hired avenger who kills those who “deserve it” and fight as soldiers in a lonely war. Lee then became a regular artist and was so from number 4 to 19, showing an aesthetic influenced by Japanese manga. The Uncanny X-MenTypically, superhero comics maintain the main series and some secondary titles in other universes. Under this scheme, Stan Lee and Jack Kirby created the X-Men in 1963. X-Men is about the teenage angst of a group of mutants led by Professor X, who live on the margins of a society that rejects their superpowers. They were published from number 1 to 66 under the name X-Men. From 1970 to 1975, Marvel produced no new issues, only reprints. Still, they decided to continue with the old numbering returning to the number 94. From number 114 of the collection, Marvel introduced the new title Uncanny X-Men. Having already stood out for his interpretation of Wolverine in Alpha Flight and later in Punisher: War Journal, he is allowed to work in Uncanny X-men number 248 in 1989. Here is where Jim Lee gets involved with this series so loved by the public. Lee developed timelines left unfinished, giving them fresh air. Jim Lee held the position of the leading artist in this series from issues 267 to 277, from 1990 to 1991. X-Men Volume 2’s Guinness RecordIn 1991 Marvel launched this series with the title X-Men Volume 2. Jim Lee worked as co-writer and leading artist from issues 1 to 11, making this first issue the best-selling volume with more than 8.1 million copies, setting a Guinness record for the best-selling issue. Marvel later used these designs in X-men: the animated series. He also created new characters which stand out. For issue number 1, Lee created Anne Marie Cortez, Fabian Cortez, Chrome/Allen Marc Yuricic, Harry Delgado, Marco Delgado, and Nance Winters. In issue number 4, Omega Red/Arkady Rossovich. Jim Lee in Heroes RebornIn 1996, Lee returned to his origins by getting involved for two years with a Marvel project entitled “Heroes Reborn.” This project takes up the previously defunct series and relaunches classic characters with new plot twists and other scenarios enriching their universes. Under this project, Lee took over the title Fantastic Four and wrote a new concept for Iron Man, while Liefeld was in charge of the Avengers and Captain America. However, when Liefeld’s publications did not have the expected reception, Jim took control of them. Jim Lee created a new rebirth by breathing new life into The Avengers, starring Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow, and Hulk. These characters continue to arouse interest in children and adults nowadays. After “Heroes Reborn,” Lee negotiated another deal with Marvel, serving as Marvel’s new publisher, handling the relaunch versions of Defenders, Doctor Strange, and Nick Fury. All three titles are interconnected with The Avengers storyline and were released in December 1997. Image Comics and WildStormSince the beginning of the ’90s, it was already evident that Marvel Comics had already had some problems. Despite capitalizing on many of its most outstanding characters, it unfairly rewarded its artists due to its work and copyright policies, which led several of them to leave the company. Thus was born this new publishing house, Image Comics, founded by the young cartoonists Jim Lee, Todd McFarlane, Rob Liefeld, Erik Larsen, Jim Valentino, Marc Silvestri, and Whilce Portacio. The operating company would allow the creators to keep all copyrights. Each partner created its own company within Image Comics that operated autonomously. Lee initially named his company Aegis Entertainment then renamed it WildStorm, where the comic book WildCats, written together with Brandon Choi, was born. A massive surge in the comic book world then ensued that even rocked Marvel and DC. WildC.A.T.sWildC.A.T.s was a commercially successful comic book title produced by WildStorm. The plot deals with a group of superheroes who become involved in an ongoing galactic war between two alien races living secretly on earth, the Kherubim and Daemonites.  Image via DC Comics The WildC.A.T.s were mainly Kherubim-human hybrids. The humanoid-looking, near-immortal Kherubim had become nearly sterile over time. Only one in 10,000 females was capable of giving birth. But, the Kherubim hybrids were more fertile than their ancestors. Daemonites were a parasitic species with a reptilian appearance. They survive by taking over the host bodies of various species. This comic was quite famous and still enjoys some popularity today. DeathmateIn 1993, WildStorm (Image Comics) and Valiant Comics agreed on a six-issue crossover miniseries featuring characters from both companies, resulting in Deathmate. The story revolves around the chance interdimensional meeting of two characters, Solar from Valiant and Void from Image Comics/WildC.A.T.s. The two fall in love, but their relationship would mean the destruction of both comic book universes. These issues have become cult items among collectors. Jim Lee’s Journey Through DC ComicsLee sold WildStorm to DC Comics in 1998. But, he continued to run the company as an appendage of DC Comics. He then decided to return to work as an artist. In 2003 with “Batman: Rise of Sin Tzu,” with Superman in “For Tomorrow” in 2004, and later in 2005 with Batman in “All Star Batman & Robin, the Boy Wonder.” In 2010 he discontinued printing at WildStorm, although DC reused several of his characters in their major relaunch, The New 52. That same year, DC Comics named him co-editor, sharing duties with Dan DiDio. Lee redesigned the character of Boo Berry in 2014 as a personal project and new challenge for General Mills. This job was a commission to DC Comics to redesign their cereals with a monster motif for Halloween. The New 52In 2011, DC Comics decided to capture new followers. They renewed and relaunched its entire publishing line to achieve this, debuting with 52 new series and canceling all previous comics. DC Comics wanted to end the continuity of the DC universe and create a new universe that didn’t require reading vast amounts of previous issues for people to understand it. That’s how The New 52 was born, with Jim Lee as one of the prominent editors, sharing duties with writer Geoff Johns. Batman, Superman, and the Justice LeagueOver time the stories of characters such as Batman, Superman, and the Justice League have evolved. The latest video game conceptualized in the DC universe, depicting Sin Tzu, a supervillain that Jim Lee created in 2003, represented a master strategist and Asian warlord and was later adapted to the main Batman comics. He debuted in the video game “Batman: Rise of Sin Tzu” and was later transferred to the animated television series “The New Batman Adventures,” which aired between 1997 and 1999. Between the period from 2002 to 2003, he did his most outstanding work, making the 12-issue story arc “Batman: Hush.” It develops the expected romantic relationship between Catwoman/Selina Kyle and Batman/Bruce Wayne. In an elaborate story, he shows us the new supervillain Hush/Thomas involving other known villains. Another work of great importance in his career was the 12-issue narrative “For Tomorrow” with the classic Superman character. It tells the story of Superman’s bewilderment at the inexplicable disappearance of 1 million people. Among them was the love of his life, the journalist Louis Lane. for Tomorrow shows a dark and imperfect Superman struggling with mixed feelings of guilt and loss. This story also features a brief appearance by Wonder Woman, and although critics praised Lee’s story arc, the art received little attention. The beloved sorcerer makes yet another appearance, and it’s not a cameo this time. After being shown his exploits in Doctor Strange, Infinity War, Endgame, and No Way Home, fans were hungry for more. The prayers of these fans are clearly being heard as Doctor Strange 2 has been released with a wonderful cast. Marvel has a habit of bringing its most ignored heroes to the forefront suddenly. They did the same with Doctor Stephen Strange when no one was even expecting it. We all thought that Marvel was too busy pushing its other superheroes like Iron Man and Captain America. In 2016, MCU decided to shake things up and since then, Doctor Strange has become a household name. The result? The upcoming Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is one of the most awaited films of 2022. If you haven’t been living under a rock then you must know that Dr. Strange is all set to make another Hollywood appearance on 02 May 2022. The supporting cast in Doctor Strange 2 is equally impressive with the likes of Elizabeth Olsen, Rachel McAdams, and Patrick Stewart who’ve impressed Marvel fans worldwide. Platforms on Which Doctor Strange 2 Will Come OutWe know that you want to watch Doctor Strange 2 very soon, because, the trailers are very promising and so is the movie’s performance at the box office. We know for a fact that Multiverse of Madness will eventually make its way to the various digital platforms. These platforms are too important to be ignored and any studio seeking to make profits will have to consider them. The problem, however, is that it’s very difficult to speculate on the release date. The vast number of OTT platforms out there doesn’t help either. What we do know is that it’ll be released on popular platforms like Amazon Prime Video, iTunes, Disney Plus Google Play Movies & TV, and more. If you’re not a big fan of OTT and prefer your movies on Blu-ray/DVD then you’ll have your chance as well. However, be ready to wait for a while because it usually takes some time. How Would One Predict the Release Dates?Remember that we said it’s difficult to guess the exact dates? Difficult, not impossible. For movie geeks like us, predicting a tentative release date is no biggie because this is what we live for! Even though there aren’t any official rumors regarding the dates, we do have past data. If we look at the time gap between the release dates of Shang-Chi and The Legend of The Ten Rings, we can get some clues. Shang Chi made his theatrical debut on 02 Sep 2021 and was available on all the major digital platforms by 12 Nov 2021. The Blu-ray, 4K Ultra HD, and DVD versions made it to the public by 30 Nov 2021. In another example, Eternals made a disappointing debut in the theatres on 05 Nov 2021. By 12 Jan 2022, Eternals was released on the OTT platforms and the people sitting in their homes were also given a taste of the disappointment. Finally, the Eternals movie made it to Blu-ray, 4K Ultra HD, and DVD versions by 15 Feb 2022 and disappointed the few remaining fans. We hope that Stephen Strange doesn’t give us the bland and emotionless performance that the Eternals painfully did! So When Is Doctor Strange 2 Coming Out?Now, the part that you’ve been eagerly waiting for – the tentative release dates of Doctor Strange 2. Shang Chi and Eternals were released not so long ago and both these movies followed a similar track record. So, we can safely assume that Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will do so too. We’re talking about the track record of release dates on different platforms, mind you! No one would want this movie to be as engaging as the last two (because those weren’t). The master of the mystic arts will most probably arrive on digital platforms by mid-July. How? The last two movies were available on OTT approximately after a gap of 70 days. If we were to make an educated guess then 15 July 2022 should be the day when you can see the movie in your home. As for the Blu-ray, 4K Ultra HD, and DVD releases, it might take a wee bit longer. Our best guess would be somewhere between August and September. This is definitely a long wait for someone who has been eager to watch the movie. We know that we are, and we’re going to watch it at least once in theatres before we watch it a hundred times on digital platforms. So, the choice is yours! | Spider-Man: No Way Home Censored – China Wanted to Remove Statue of Liberty Posted: 02 May 2022 08:31 AM PDT The exceptional box office numbers left by the latest arachnid movie could have been much better. Spider-Man: No Way Home has been censored in China. The country’s authorities wanted to remove scenes featuring the Statue of Liberty. The Asian country isn’t very tolerant of certain movie scenes. In this case, it has been the turn of Spider-Man, a global hit that can afford not to make concessions. Sony executives have steadfastly refused to make a significant change to the film. Spider-Man: No Way Home Censored in ChinaNow we have more details about the scenes that China wanted to be removed from the final cut of Spider-Man: No Way Home, for it to be released in their theaters. Since the authorities requested that they remove the Statue of Liberty from the film, Tom Rothman, the CEO of Sony, refused to make such a drastic change to the film. This scene corresponds to the story’s entire ending, and probably the movie’s best moments. The censors also requested the elimination of Tom Holland’s scenes at the top of the crown, as well as a dimming of the lighting. Once again, Sony refused to make these adjustments. New information has come to light that has surfaced about why China censored Spider-Man: No Way Home in their country, even though the previous two installments had indeed made it to their theaters. The footage is the final scene where a battle takes place at the iconic Statue of Liberty. Tom Roghman, the CEO of Sony flatly refused to make this change to such an important scene. Specifically, China asked if the production team could reduce the statue’s appearance during the final scene. They also requested to remove the images of the main character, Tom Holland, on the crown. Again, Marvel Studios and Sony executives declined to make these changes. The refusal by Sony executives was also based on low confidence that the film would be released despite the changes. As a result, Spider-Man: No Way Home was censored in China. An Assumable Loss for SonySpider-Man: No Way Home is one of the highest-grossing films of recent times, even though it couldn’t count on viewers in China. Authorities in the countries of the region are increasingly hindering the release of Marvel movies. However, Marvel Studios has no intention of altering the storyline of its productions to overcome these censorship barriers. We have to remember that Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) and Spider-Man: Far From Home (2019) did open in China. The former grossed $116 million in that country, while the latter earned $198 million. So Disney and Sony gave up about $200 million to $250 million with the third one. But considering they’ve made about $1.89 billion in the rest of the world, they may not care much. Also, Doctor Strange in the Madness multiverse probably won’t cut China either because of a brief LGBTQI+ comment from America Chavez’s character. We already know that both Egypt and Saudi Arabia have censored the premiere of the second installment of Doctor Strange. It is very admirable that the studio is sacrificing revenue at the cost of being able to give visibility to these minorities.
