Former Walmart Employee Drives Into Store After Getting Fired New York Post | April 12, 2021 | April 12, 2021
A disgruntled former Walmart employee in North Carolina is accused of crashing into his old workplace and driving through the aisles, a report said.
Lacy Gentry, 32, who was fired in February, allegedly rammed into a Walmart store in Concord at about 6 a.m. on April 2, Fox 46 reported.
"He may have had some problem with the way the management was handling the issue that he had with them," a Concord Police spokesman told the news outlet.
I honestly don’t know which nugget from this story is the most golden:
By the way, wasn’t there some stupid ‘woke’ ban on Arizona Iced Tea a while back? How’d that go?
Arizona gives Democrats a taste of their own sanctuary medicine American Thinker | 10 Apr, 2021 | Silvio Canto, Jr.
It finally happened. Arizona has gone “sanctuary” and wait until the Democrats go ballistic screaming that laws have to be respected in the U.S.
This is from Fox News:
Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey signed a gun rights law this week that preemptively protects gun owners in the state from any federal gun control laws that are passed, according to reports.
The Second Amendment Freedom Act was signed two days before President Biden announced several executive actions, including asking the Justice Department to propose a rule to stop “ghost guns,” which are “kits” people can buy legally, then assemble to create a functioning firearm without a serial number.
“That was a proactive law for what is possible to come out of the Biden administration,” Ducey told KTAR-FM radio in Glendale, Ariz., on Wednesday, adding the bill doesn't change any current laws.
Hey, zzyzx! Gabby Johnson would be embarrassed by the junk CNN is spouting:
Concerns Mount That US Withdrawal From Afghanistan Could Risk Progress on Women’s Rights CNN | April 10, 2021 | Jennifer Hansler
Concerns are mounting from bipartisan US lawmakers and Afghan women’s rights activists that the hard-won gains for women and civil society in Afghanistan could be lost if the United States makes a precipitous withdrawal from the country.
President Joe Biden has suggested it will be difficult to meet the May 1 deadline for US troops to leave the country as dictated in the deal the Trump administration signed with the Taliban.
However, there are fears that if the US withdraws troops before the conditions on the ground are right — regardless of the date on the calendar — there will be a sharp and possibly catastrophic backslide.
The old “women and children hardest hit” play.
Women’s rights in Afghanistan?
“Dictated”! Trump signed a deal “with the Taliban”!!11!
Even Jen Psaki couldn’t say any of this with a straight face.
By the way, could the reporter be bothered to specify her sources?
Whose “concerns are mounting”?
When did Biden “suggest” it will be difficult to fulfill another promise?
Historic First Flight of Mars Helicopter Delayed by NASA – Here's Why (now will fly no earlier than Apr. 14) SciTechDaily | 4/11/2021
Based on data from the Ingenuity Mars helicopter that arrived late Friday night, NASA has chosen to reschedule the Ingenuity Mars Helicopter's first experimental flight to no earlier than April 14.
During a high-speed spin test of the rotors on Friday, the command sequence controlling the test ended early due to a "watchdog" timer expiration. This occurred as it was trying to transition the flight computer from 'Pre-Flight' to 'Flight' mode. The helicopter is safe and healthy and communicated its full telemetry set to Earth.
The watchdog timer oversees the command sequence and alerts the system to any potential issues. It helps the system stay safe by not proceeding if an issue is observed and worked as planned.
The helicopter team is reviewing telemetry to diagnose and understand the issue. Following that, they will reschedule the full-speed test.
