| Posted: In the modern and light-flooded company headquarters of WMD in Ahrensburg, the straight steel stairs with all-glass railings on both sides significantly contribute to the successful overall concept of the building. The steps of the staircase structure were manufactured as trough-type treads from folded steel sheets and welded individually between the stair stringers. By means of an in-house developed method, the glass panes of the 5-flight construction were adjusted and fastened by the MetallArt experts into the steel stringers made of welded rectangular profiles. This highly sophisticated assembly technique allows for maximum transparency and lightness of the railings. The stainless steel handrail placed on top, which also assumes the function of a filigree glass edge protection, gives the staircase its elegant finish. continue   |
