| Genshin Impact: How to beat the Abyss Herald Posted: 11 Apr 2021 02:55 PM PDT Genshin Impact has a new archon quest called “We Will Be Reunited.” It’s a main quest where you’ll battle the Abyss Herald several times, and it also significantly advances the story forward. Just remember that you should first reach Adventure Rank 36. Likewise, you should’ve completed “The Meaning of Lupical” (which made the Andrius boss fight available) and “Bough Keeper: Dainsleif” (which introduced a character who’s central to the plot). In any case, here’s our Genshin Impact guide to help you with the “We Will Be Reunited” archon quest and the Abyss Herald boss fight. Note: For more information about the game, check out our Genshin Impact guides and features hub. | Rejoice, Microsoft has not yet forgotten about Age of Mythology Posted: 11 Apr 2021 11:30 AM PDT This has been a good weekend if you are a real-time strategy fan. While we got more glimpses of Age of Empires IV at a fan preview event, the RTS community also received even more good news. Prior to the fan event, Microsoft put together a roundtable interview with developers from both Xbox Game Studios and Relic Entertainment. Although the focus was mainly on the new Age of Empires game, it would seem that 2002’s Age of Mythology is also on the mind of Microsoft. When asked if Age of Mythology will receive the Definitive Edition treatment that Age of Empires has benefited from, the answer was in the affirmative. Franchise Creative Director Adam Isgreen emphasized that the more mythical spin-off has not been forgotten. In fact, it comes up very frequently. If you are unfamiliar with Age of Mythology, it was essentially the same robust RTS experience. However, instead of focusing on real history, it veered towards the side of mythology. The Greek, Norse, and Egyptian his... |
| Quantic Dream declares victory over toxic workplace after win in court Posted: 11 Apr 2021 11:00 AM PDT Back in 2018, Quantic Dream‘s management team came under fire for its supposedly poor workplace culture. This stemmed from reports via French press outlets Canard PC, Le Monde, and Mediapart. According to investigations (NSFW images), it appeared that Quantic Dream employees were working in inappropriate conditions. Teams were in crunch for extended periods of time for each game, but that was not all. There were also photomontages created by a manager that saw staff’s faces edited on to images of questionable taste, including porn stars and even Nazis. Such harassment led to the entire IT department leaving, and a court case against Quantic Dream. However, the conclusion is that the Paris Court of Appeals judged in the favor of Quantic Dream. As such, the studio has since released a statement that objected to the accusations brought in the first place. In the eyes of management, there was no toxic atmosphere, and there was no discrimination in the studio. Staff re... |
| Capcom shows off Resident Evil Village world map and Mother Miranda Posted: 11 Apr 2021 10:30 AM PDT As we slowly approach the impending release of Resident Evil Village, fans are understandably eager for more details. For now, we know about the game’s requirements on PC, but that is hardly enough. Thankfully, Capcom knows just how to whet our appetite. In partnership with IGN, the latest Resident Evil Village reveal shows us the world map, as well as the important Mother Miranda. Judging from what we saw, this is the same map that was previously leaked with the Collector’s Edition of the game. We see Castle Dimitrescu, where everyone’s favorite tall lady resides. We also got a look at the locations for Heisenberg’s Factory, House Beneviento, and Morseau’s Reservoir. A bunch of other unnamed locations are present as well. There is even a large sea monster at the bottom of the Resident Evil Village world map. Capcom sure does know how to keep things interesting. If you are more concerned about the characters that will interact with Ethan Winters ... |
| Age of Empires IV preview event includes juicy details and release window Posted: 11 Apr 2021 10:00 AM PDT As we continue to roll through April, we can expect gaming news to pick up towards the (usually) busy middle part of the year. For real-time strategy fans, this month is all the more important if you are looking for more Age of Empires IV news. Microsoft previously earmarked the fan event this month to share more information, and it’s here where we definitely got to preview some juicy bits of Age of Empires IV. There was a bunch of stuff mentioned about the game at this event, including the fall 2021 release window targeted by the development team. If you are ready to unleash war upon the world, there’s even more to know as well. Starting off, Age of Empires IV will feature eight different civilizations from the start. That is not a lot, considering the legacy of the RTS game. However, it is likely that we will see more civilizations added post-launch as DLC. The Age of Empires IV preview showcased the Delhi Sultanate, the Chinese, the English, and there were also... |
