Originally, the game had seven characters to choose from. These included favorites such as Red and Asellus, as well as the somewhat forgettable Lute and Riki. However, the developers left some content on the cutting room floor. Now, SaGa Frontier Remastered presents a new playable character, Fuse, and his inclusion is also related to the New Game+ feature. | Native DLSS support coming to Unity game engine in late 2021 Posted: 14 Apr 2021 06:15 PM PDT  Nvidia and Unity Technologies made the exciting announcement today that DLSS will become a native component of the Unity game engine before the end of this year. Mathieu Muller represented Unity Technologies in the announcement video and narrated a short tech showcase on the benefits of DLSS in addition to offering some insight into how it works. More importantly, he went over some details on how developers will be able to actually use it in their games. For those unfamiliar with the technology, DLSS is a proprietary super sampling technique made by Nvidia. It uses AI to take a lower resolution, aliased (jagged) image and intelligently upscale it to match the native quality of a higher resolution. As an example, DLSS could take a 1440p image and process the image to make it match the quality of a 4K image. In some cases, DLSS can even bring out more detail than a native 4K image. | An old mod let players use other classes in Diablo II: Resurrected alpha Posted: 14 Apr 2021 04:15 PM PDT  One of the most anticipated games coming out of Blizzard is easily Diablo II: Resurrected. Fans have requested an HD update for Diablo II for years, and they got their wish this year at BlizzCon 2021. The classic game will receive a full HD update, along with other tweaks and modern conveniences. Players even got to try the game out this past week with a limited-time alpha. However, it was quickly discovered that an old mod for the original game would let players use other classes not in the Diablo II: Resurrected alpha. The reason is simple. Diablo II: Resurrected is very similar to the base game, which is why you can transfer older saves. In fact, some old mods from the original Diablo II apparently work in Resurrected. The mod in question here is a Hero Editor mod, which has been around for some years now. | SaGa Frontier Remastered: Asellus guide — Dr. Nusakan and extra content Posted: 14 Apr 2021 04:00 PM PDT  Dr. Nusakan is one of the characters who can join your roster in SaGa Frontier. Unfortunately, the game’s original release back in 1998 only offered this opportunity for Riki and Blue. In Riki’s case, this was while you’re searching for rings. As for Blue, it’s when he’s attempting to get the Hide Rune. Now, though, there’s a treat for long-time fans since SaGa Frontier Remastered allows Asellus to recruit Dr. Nusakan. It’s also partially related to cut content from the original release. It’s actually a good idea to do this given that Dr. Nusakan is one of the better characters in the game. Likewise, he’s also a mystic, and recruiting him adds more flavor to your playthrough as Asellus since she’s a half-mystic. However, do remember that this can only be done a bit later in the story.
