Just before the debut of yesterday’s highly-anticipated finale, Amazon Studios announced that it renewed Robert Kirkman's hour-long, adult animated series Invincible for a second and third season. Seasons two and three will exclusively stream on Amazon Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories worldwide. "I'm extremely thankful to Amazon for the support and dedication they've put behind Invincible," said Kirkman. "The comic book is truly a love letter to a genre that Cory (Walker) and I grew up reading and loving, and it's been a gratifying journey to watch our characters come to life again through the animated series. We're beyond excited to continue this story for at least two more seasons."
"Invincible is a crowning example of how a fresh and edgy approach to the superhero genre can resonate with audiences around the globe and we're so glad that Invincible, one of our earliest investments in the adult animation genre, has accomplished just that," said Vernon Sanders, Co-Head of Television at Amazon Studios. "Robert's no-holds-barred storytelling coupled with a first-class voice cast delivered on fans' wildest expectations and we're thrilled to be giving them more Invincible." | Confirmed: Amber Heard Under Criminal Investigation in Australia Posted: 30 Apr 2021 01:25 PM PDT This article has been updated to eliminate any confusion caused by a date reference in the Queensland investigation announcement from last year.
May of 2016 Amber Heard filed for divorce and alleged that Depp had physically abused her during the course of their marriage. She also got a restraining order against him and mentioned that he abused her when he was under the influence of alcohol. This happened a day after Depp allegedly violently broke bottles of champagne in their LA house and threw a phone at Amber’s face.
Heard received a total of 7 million dollars as a settlement which she reportedly donated to charity. In August 2016, the couple agreed to end their marriage and in 2017 they were formally divorced. After the divorce, Amber Heard wrote an editorial piece in the Washington Post about domestic violence and being a survivor. She also talked about how media and people don’t trust the victim in such situations. This resulted in Johnny Depp filing for a Defamation suit of 50-million dollars against his ex-wife.
In 2020, audio recordings of Depp and Heard’s conversations were also released where they both admitted to getting physical often. Johnny even alleged that Heard punched him, defecated in his bed, and had affairs with Elon Musk and James Franco. Heard denied this and alleged that Depp got physical with her very often and threatened to kill her many times. Needless to say, it’s been “messy”. Heard and Depp remain locked in a legal battle over the op-ed that the actress wrote. Depp is suing his ex-wife for $50 million because he claims that her statements ruined his career after having been asked to resign from his role as Grindelwald in the "Fantastic Beasts" franchise.
In light of the audio coming out, fans began to push for Heard's removal from the upcoming sequel, Aquaman 2. A petition – which currently has over 1.8 million signatures – was made calling on Warner to remove her from the film.

Lots of private details came out in the defamation suit, including an incident where Amber Heard could face perjury charges. Details of a 2016 Pistol and Boo incident were dredged up in her ex-husband Johnny Depp’s libel case against The Sun. Even though Depp lost his libel case, the details piqued the interest of the Australian Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment after an ex-employee of Depp’s claimed in court he was forced to lie under oath about her dogs’ illegal entry into Queensland. the investigation was first announced last year.
A departmental spokesperson told news.com.au: “The department is investigating if any criminal offences under Commonwealth legislation have been committed relating to the testimony provided to the High Court in London. Because of the nature of those enquiries we are unable to provide a timeline.” The maximum sentence for perjury in Queensland is 14 years in jail. According to Depp’s former estate manager, Kevin Murphy, Heard instructed him to lie to authorities after she knowingly smuggled her dogs into Australia.
