Shiva caps off Streets of Rage 4 – Mr. X Nightmare DLC Posted: 28 May 2021 05:00 PM PDT Streets of Rage 4 was one of the best surprise hits of last year. After being dormant for two decades, the teams at Dotemu, Lizardcube, and Guard Crush brought the series roaring back to life. Combining a fluid 2D artstyle, tight controls, and an open-ended combat system, the game made it seem like the franchise never left at all. Today, we got a trailer for the game’s final playable character in the Streets of Rage 4 – Mr. X Nightmare DLC, Shiva, who is rounding off the cast. After the game’s release, Dotemu made it known that DLC would be on the way. But then the pandemic happened, and there was some concern it would be delayed. However, last month we finally got an announcement of what that the new content will contain. Titled Mr. X Nightmare, the DLC adds new modes, weapons, and three new characters to the fray. The first of which was the new fan-favorite character from Streets of Rage 4, the badass cop Estel. The nightmare approaches Then we learned tha...

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night may get another game, according to financial report Posted: 28 May 2021 11:30 AM PDT Developer 505 Games may have a Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night sequel in the works. The studio included some sales information on the original game in a recent financial report, along with future plans for the series. Interestingly, the report mentioned another “version” of the metroidvania, which may suggest that a follow-up is near. The financial presentation included a slide on Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night. One of the bullet points read, “Second version in development.” That doesn’t exactly guarantee a sequel in the works, but at the very least, it may indicate some sort of remake or remaster. As Gamespot pointed out, the report also mentioned a “second version” for Ghostrunner, and we already know that has a sequel coming. In any case, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night‘s sales number may influence the decision. According to the report, the original release sold more than 1 million copies and estimated “lifetime ...
Far Cry 6 gets a release date for October, new gameplay trailer Posted: 28 May 2021 11:15 AM PDT Ubisoft has its big, loud Far Cry 6 event earlier today to offer a first look at some gameplay. As predicted, Far Cry 6 will run the gamut of other games from the series. Guns, explosions, guerrilla warfare, vehicle combat, and deadly (and cute) animal companions await in the next game. Far Cry 6 will offer its own flavor, however, bringing in makeshift weaponry, horseback riding, and a kickass backpack with missiles. Ubisoft also confirmed the release date for Far Cry 6, which is coming to PC on October 7. In Far Cry 6, you play as Dani Rojas. The game includes a character creator system, which allows you to pick a male or female Dani — with the latter starring in the trailer. There will be options for customization, such as clothing. In the character trailer, Dani was born and raised in the capital city of Yara, the country in which the game takes place. Once, they wanted to escape. However, after seeing the violence first-hand brought by the country’s dictator, Anton ...
We could still get desktop Tiger Lake CPUs according to Intel’s own listing Posted: 28 May 2021 11:00 AM PDT Intel’s in a bit of a slump right now due to the general lack of gaming performance improvements for its latest desktop lineup. We reviewed the 11700K, and while it was alright, it did little to supersede the previous generation in terms of framerates. Likewise, we found that it used a lot of power and subsequently generated a lot of heat. It’s not a great option for a lot of gamers, especially since most would rather not spend big bucks to get the marginal improvements offered over previous gens. However, it seems Intel may have come to the same conclusion and has decided to finally bring the far more efficient Tiger Lake 10nm lineup to the desktop platform. As spotted by Video Cardz, Intel posted information to the ARK section of its site, which is commonly reserved for product specifications. The listing has since been removed, but a screenshot was captured of the information before then. The listing describes an 11th generation of Intel desktop processors under the i...
