| Project_Hel expansion for Ghostrunner stars one of the game’s bosses Posted: 02 Dec 2021 01:00 PM PST  When Ghostrunner came out last year, many players felt impressed by the game’s fast, reflex-intensive gameplay. Having said that, the campaign lasts around six to eight hours for the average player, and although the challenge makes that runtime feel more than warranted, some may want more content to sink their teeth into. Thankfully, developers One More Level and Slipgate Ironworks have these players covered, as they plan on releasing a hefty DLC expansion for Ghostrunner, titled Project_Hel, on January 27, 2022. This new DLC sees players slicing and dicing as Hel, one of the bosses of the base game, who aims to descend through “Dharma Tower on a bloody quest of her own.” According to the developers, the DLC intends to cater to both newcomers and veterans, as Hel can withstand an additional hit and boasts a toolkit that focuses more on combat. With this update, Quake Remastered gets a horde mode, while also adding improvements and fixes to the general experience. Fans of Quake should find a lot to like here. Players can now challenge themselves to slay — a lot. We’re talking entire hordes of enemies for as long as possible. Horde modes are no stranger to first-person shooter games at this point, with a little known game called Call of Duty having a horde mode in most of their releases of the past decade. Even Doom Eternal got its very own horde mode earlier in October. So, this shouldn’t be a new concept to most people, but it’s still really cool to see this mode come to the original Quake. First, dataminers uncovered a loading screen and event that revealed the end of Chapter 2. There was also a datamined map that looked a lot like the loading screen. Epic Games then announced that Fortnite Chapter 2 will conclude with The End event on December 4 at 4 PM ET. Now, a Twitter user has released a recording of an alleged Fornite TikTok ad that shows what that end might look like. Oh, and The Rock may be joining Fortnite as well. The Twitter user describes themselves as a Fortnite leaker and goes by the name freddythefox_YT. They claim that they were on TikTok when the video showing the ending to Fortnite Chapter 2 played as an ad. It's a mystery why this video hasn't appeared to anyone else. | Batman allies and villains join Hot Wheels Unleashed with Batman Expansion Posted: 02 Dec 2021 09:30 AM PST  As Mattel and Milestone laid out in the Hot Wheels Unleashed content plan, the first major DLC coming to the toy car arcade racer is the Batman Expansion. And it rolls out today. The DLC brings a ton of Dark Knight-themed content to Hot Wheels Unleashed, including new cars, a new race environment, a new track part, a new Career map, and a themed Customization Pack. You'll probably begin with the brand-new Career map, which is inspired by Gotham. The new environment is none other than the lair of the Dark Knight, the Batcave. As you race around the cave, you'll be able to see Batman's gadgets and gear scattered around the environment.
