Telling Lies and Dreamscaper join PC Game Pass for February 2022, Control and The Medium are leaving Posted: 01 Feb 2022 11:15 AM PST Well, folks, it’s officially February. If you had thought that 2022 wouldn’t fly by as fast as 2021, you may be mistaken. Luckily, the start of every new month is something Game Pass subscribers can anticipate. Why? Because they get even more games on the service. February 2022 has begun, and there are nine games coming to PC Game Pass — that’s just the first wave. Sadly, we’re also going to say goodbye to some popular releases. Get ready, because Control, The Medium, and others are leaving PC Game Pass on February 15. It all starts with Contrast, which is coming in a couple short days. The 2013 game is a puzzle platformer inspired by vaudeville and film noir. You can download it on February 3. It’s joined by two other games that day, namely Dreamscaper and the intriguing Telling Lies. The latter is a narrative thriller, where you solve a mystery by watching “secretly recorded video conversations.” Four more are heading to PC Ga...
Bloodborne makes its way to PC via a PSX demake Posted: 01 Feb 2022 10:30 AM PST Bloodborne has finally made its way over to PC, but not in the way that you might’ve expected. A ‘demake’ of FromSoftware’s gothic horror title released at the start of the week. It’s available for free now at the game’s itch.io page, after taking around 13 months of hard work from its developer Lilith Walther (@b0tster on Twitter). The demake is an impressive feat in itself, and is a testament to the dedication of FromSoftware’s fan base. As of now, BloodbornePSX only features Yharnam, the first zone in the original game. Not to say that it isn’t an impressive accomplishment, because there’s still quite a bit of content here to delve into. Players can experience the start of the game and play through to the Father Gascoigne encounter. The fight against the Cleric Beast is also present, so there’s plenty to do. There are also a few changes to the level based on the purposefully designed limitations of the PSX aesthetic. Thi...
Battlefield 2042 Season One has been delayed until summer Posted: 01 Feb 2022 09:45 AM PST The early life of Battlefield 2042 has not been easy. Its launch was rough, with many fans feeling as though it was missing several key features present in past installments. Unfortunately, that doesn’t look to be improving. At least not anytime soon. In a tweet posted earlier today, developer DICE confirmed that Season One of Battlefield 2042 has been delayed. Although an official release date hadn’t been provided information previously discovered by data-miners suggested that Season One would launch in March. This aligned well with the expectations of the community. However, if this was originally the plan it isn’t anymore. Instead, Battlefield 2042 players will have to wait until sometime in the summer to try out the new content. The post does clarify that a smaller update will be coming to Battlefield 2042 before Season One drops. This update should come in early March and will include improvements to the in-game scoreboard. The updates that follow will ...
How to build the best Call of Duty: Warzone Pacific Ratt class Posted: 01 Feb 2022 08:30 AM PST The first season of Call of Duty: Vanguard saw the roll out of Warzone Pacific. As the weapon pool grew larger, there are now more options than ever to choose from in the battle royale. At the moment, pistols are not exactly at the top of everyone’s list. Most players seem to be relying on submachine guns over pistols, but there are options that may change your mind. This week, we detailed a powerful class for the Top Break. Today, I’ll show you how to build a class — with the best attachments — that will make the Ratt a good contender in Warzone Pacific. The Ratt is a powerful pistol in Vanguard multiplayer. However, this is not entirely the case in Caldera and Rebirth Island. Already, the gun has a respectable amount of mobility to its name, which can allow you to out maneuver your enemy and come out on top. This class focuses on improving the damage and accuracy. As a result, if you choose to get Ghost from your first loadout, you will have a pistol that y...
Call of Duty: Vanguard update fixes bugs lurking in the campaign Posted: 01 Feb 2022 07:30 AM PST If you have played Call of Duty: Vanguard lately, it is likely that you have come across some many gameplay issues. Recently, Activision shared a statement with the community promising to fix the game. Since then, the developer has been making due with the promise, delivering on multiple patches. Just five days after a patch adjusting perks and spawns, another has arrived. The latest update focuses on bug fixes in the Vanguard campaign to make the single player mode a smoother experience. The first fix has been made to Stalingrad, which is the third mission in the campaign. The death loop you can get trapped in if you take too long to get the sewer has been addressed. Also, it repairs a problem in which games would freeze and crash when some players shot at an enemy in the Operation Tonga field. In terms of progression, you can now unlock the Ticket Please achievement. Finally, a progression blocker which caused Misha to be unresponsive is now working as intended. More multip...
