Tales of Arise hit another sales milestone. Bandai Namco announced it passed the two million mark. As a reminder, it hit 1.5 million in sales back in October 2021. There's new art of Dohalim and Kisara to celebrate the occasion. Here's the official announcement regarding the new Tales of Arise sales figures. Pairing characters with the figures is something of a trend. Character Designer Minoru Iwamoto drew Alphen and Shionne on the one million in sales announcement. Rinwell and Law appeared in the 1.5 art.
As for actual Tales of Arise sales, it is actually reduced at two places right now. There's a Golden Week Sale on the Microsoft Store right now. This means all versions of the game are reduced at the moment. You can get the base version for Xbox consoles for $41.99. That lasts until May 5, 2022. The Deluxe and Ultimate Editions are also on sale. At GameStop, it is also reduced. New and pre-owned PS4 and PS5 physical copies are marked down. It is $36.99 new and $34.99 pre-owned on the PS4. On the PS5, new copies are $31.75 and used ones are $29.99. Tales of Arise is available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. Yet another new weapon is joining Splatoon 3, with the Triple Inkstrike stepping into the spotlight. This time, the item looks a little like a lawn dart. After throwing three of them, it will deal area of attack damage to areas around where they fall. First, here's a look at the weapon itself. Its logo in the bottom right shows it is part of the Splat brand that's existed since Splatoon.
Next, there's a clip showing how the Splatoon 3 Triple Inkstrike looks when used. There's also an overhead view in the second half, to show how much area is affected by a blast.
This means we've now gotten a better look at three new Splatoon 3 weapons. The first one to show up is a sort of bow. It's called the Stringer and appears in marketing for the game. The other is the Ink Vac. It can inhale enemy ink attacks and spit them back out at foes. Splatoon 3 will appear on the Nintendo Switch on September 9, 2022. FFXIV Director and Producer Naoki Yoshida offered another update on the housing lottery repair timeline. The new estimate suggests that maintenance and restoration of the process should come on May 16, 2022. Until then, the FFXIV real estate market is suspended. Yoshida first offered a timeline of what was going on back on April 19, 2022. As a reminder, after the first lottery some people were unable to buy certain plots. Some places ended up displaying messages like, "The winning number is… 0. May you have better luck next time." In other instances, the error message reported that no one submitted a bid on the plot at all. Yoshida noted that the results weren't getting to servers, and using the correct data they had to fix it. The latest FFXIV housing lottery update confirmed that the fixes are verified and working. The next step is to implement the correct lottery data. Yoshida noted the latest data restoration could take eight days. After that is done, FFXIV maintenance will take place for up to 10 hours on May 16, 2022. When it is finished, the real estate market suspension will be lifted. The latest announcement also concluded with another apology for the current state of affairs. Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC. While there won't be an E3 2022, there will be an Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase in June 2022. Microsoft announced it will air a presentation at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CET on June 12, 2022. People will be able to catch it on Twitch and YouTube. It won't only be Microsoft and Bethesda's studios showing off new Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC games during the presentation. Microsoft confirmed that it will also feature "partners." So other third parties and perhaps independent developers' titles will be announced as well. Xbox Game Pass new additions will show up during the showcase as well. This is coming up at almost the exact same time as the 2021 presentation. Last year, Microsoft held one on June 13, 2021. That appeared during what was essentially E3 proper. While E3 2022 is canceled, this latest event is falling around when it would appear. A new live concert for the Persona series will appear in 2022. Atlus has announced that it will hold Persona Super Live P-Sound Wish 2022 on October 8-9, 2022. The concert will take place at Makuhari Messe in Chiba, Japan—the same venue as the annual Tokyo Game Show. Lyn Inaizumi, Lotus Juice, and Shoji Meguro will be present on both days. The first day's setlist will focus on Persona 5 Royal and Persona 3, with Yumi Kawamura also set to perform on the day. The second day will give the spotlight to Persona 5 Strikers and Persona 4 with the appearance of the latter's main singer Shihoko Hirata. Atlus has also published a teaser trailer for Persona Super Live 2022. It used footage from the previous live concert held in April 2019. Capcom has confirmed the date for the next Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak Digital Event, which was previously only slated for May 2022. The stream will air simultaneously on Twitch and YouTube on May 10, 2022, at 7 AM PDT / 10 AM EDT. The expansion's director Yoshitake Suzuki will reveal a new promotion trailer, more monsters, new actions for the Hunters, and other gameplay features. Square Enix announced that a Final Fantasy XI anniversary livestream will be held on May 8, 2022. The Final Fantasy XI livestream is being held to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the MMORPG. It will be over 5 hours long and will feature new information about Final Fantasy XI. Several staff members will appear on the broadcast to talk about their work and share their memories about the development of Final Fantasy XI. The livestream will be held on YouTube. It will begin at 4:45pm JST/12:45 am PDT/3:45 am EDT/9:45am CEST. [Thanks, Dengeki!] Additionally, Yuito Kimura of Cygames will appear as a special guest on the livestream. Nihon Falcom announced that The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki will release for PlayStation 5 in Japan on July 28, 2022. This version of the game will support 4K resolution and 60fps, and will have several quality of life features. It will also allow PlayStation 4 users to transfer their save data to the PlayStation 5 version of the game. Consumers who already own the PS4 version of The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki can upgrade to the PS5 version for 110 yen ($1). Additionally, The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki will release for PC on July 27, 2022. This includes the implementation of a high-speed function. This can be adjusted to change the speed of both battle systems individually. Additionally, players will be able to adjust the size of in-game text. The PlayStation 5 version of the game will also feature an archive and glossary. Additionally, those who pre-order The Legend of Heroes: Kuro no Kiseki for PlayStation 5 will receive a total of 33 pieces of DLC. Nihon Falcom announced that it will release The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel I-IV & Trails into Reverie Complete Box for PlayStation 4. It will release on July 28, 2022, in Japan, and will feature a total of five titles. The physical edition will cost 15,000 yen ($114), while the digital edition will cost 14,500 yen ($110). Both versions are available to pre-order. The physical edition will come with a special box and a special numbered card. Various pre-order bonuses are available through individual Japanese retailers. D3 Publisher announced that Maglam Lord will release for PC on May 30, 2022. The game is immediately available to wishlist through Steam. However, D3 Publisher has yet to reveal how much the PC version of Maglam Lord will cost. That said, the Steam page reveals that it intends to have "bundles" available to consumers. Additionally, the "Special Pack DLC" and original soundtrack will be available to obtain through Steam. The PC version of the game will have English, Traditional Chinese, Japanese, and Korean language support. However, it will only have Japanese audio options. More information about the PC version will appear in the future. Maglam Lord is an action RPG with dating elements. Players assume the role of a demon lord that has reawakened after years of slumber to learn that their kind has neared extinction. A handful of characters are available for the player to romance and eventually marry. Players will also have access to a weapon crafting system. This will allow them to make weapons of their choosing, with decorations adding more buffs to individual weapons. Another unique feature is the player character's ability to turn into a weapon, to be used by the character they take into main story quests and sub missions with them. The Nendoroid will come with additional parts including three different facial expressions, a Hosoinu figure, and a finger. Korone is the fourth and last member of the hololive Gamers VTuber group to receive a Nendoroid figure. Her Nendoroid will come with three different faceplates, including standard, smiling, and "yandere" facial expressions. As with other Nendoroids, she will also come with interchangeable hand parts that allow her to hold certain additional items. The newest event in the Japanese version of FGO is the Mississippi Mythicizers event. This will be a crossover event with Learning With Manga! Fate/Grand Order. It will feature three new Servants, which include an SSR version of Paul Bunyan. She will appear in the gacha as a 5-star Alter Ego. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cGkeoTAObFQ&t The Mississippi Mythicizers event will take place in a Singularity from the early 21st century, around the Mississippi River. When Chaldea goes to investigate, they see a treasure ship from ancient Japan, dinosaurs, and a lot of strange new companions. Aside from the SSR Paul Bunyan, this event will introduce new Servants Mary Anning and Daikokuten. Riyo illustrated all three Servants. Mary Anning will appear as a 1-star Lancer. In history, Anning was an English fossil collector, dealer, and paleontologist. She became famous for all the dinosaurs she discovered during her lifetime. Similar to Izo and Nobukatsu, Mary will be in the friend gacha only during the event. Daikokuten, on the other hand, is a Japanese deity of fortune and wealth.
