Marvel Writer Jason Aaron Served as Consultant on Thor: Love & Thunder Posted: 29 Jun 2022 06:20 AM PDT   ComicBook  reports that one of Marvel Comics’ “wokest” writers, who spent the past decade dumbing down their output, also worked as a story consultant on the new movie starring Thor’s mortal girlfriend, Jane Foster:   One of the most prolific writers on Marvel’s Thor comics was a consultant on the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder. The fourth movie in the Thor franchise is loosely based on The Mighty Thor comics that featured Jane Foster’s time as the Goddess of Thunder. Natalie Portman returns to reprise her role as Jane Foster, wielding a re-forged Mjolnir as our heroes fight Gorr the God Butcher, played by Christian Bale. Jason Aaron was the writer of Thor/The Mighty Thor, and he revealed during a recent signing that he was consulted on Thor: Love and Thunder. “A thunderous #SignatureSeriesSaturday with a quick message from writer @jasonaaron!” the CGC Comics Twitter account shared. “Aaron is here for his Private Signing, and we had to ask him about the topic that’s on everybody’s mind. Check out the video to hear what he has to say about the upcoming #ThorLoveAndThunder” A video was attached to the social media post, where Aaron shared his consulting role on the Marvel Studios project.   Ugh, this is truly dismaying, but hardly surprising, considering what a SJW he’s proven to be in the span of a decade.   So if it turns out the screenplay is dripping with woke ingredients, it’ll be expected, based on studio owner Disney’s recent track record. One more reason to avoid the new Thor sequel and stay far away from it. Aaron also created that supervillain called Gorr, and a character with a name like that is another reason to decidedly stay away; it’s just so revolting. More proof how much the Marvel movie franchise is continuing to deteriorate.   Originally published here. Johnny Depp’s Rep Flatly Debunks ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ Return Rumor Posted: 29 Jun 2022 04:45 AM PDT   After a report that musician and actor Johnny Depp was being courted by Disney with a $301 million offer to reprise his role as Jack Sparrow in the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean films, rumors abounded. According to the source, Disney also wrote Johnny Depp a letter of apology and was working on a script specifically for him.   This source asserted:   "Disney are very interested in patching up their relationship with Johnny Depp. They reached out to the actor prior to his defamation trial against Amber Heard and asked whether he would be interested in returning for another Pirates film or two. I know corporate sent him a gift basket with a very heartfelt letter, but I'm unsure how it was received. But what I can tell you is that the studio has already penned up a draft for a film about Jack Sparrow – so they are very hopeful that Johnny will forgive them and return as his iconic character."   Yesterday, a representative for Depp released a four word statement in response:   "This is made up."       During the actor's defamation trial where he prevailed against ex-wife Amber Heard, the actor was asked by Heard's defense attorney Ben Rottenborn,   "If Disney came to you with $300 million dollars and a million alpacas, nothing on this earth would get you to go back and work with Disney on a Pirates of the Caribbean film?"   Depp replied:   "That is true."   The Jack Sparrow actor has repeatedly stated that he does not want to go back to the Caribbean, and franchise producer Jerry Bruckheimer has stated that the actor is not currently being considered for any role in their current plans. The director also acknowledged that Disney presently holds two distinct screenplays for the movie Pirates. One of them purportedly has a Margot Robbie-played character and a cast that is predominately female. A terrible idea.       Meanwhile, Depp is getting ready to play King Louie XV in Jeanne du Barry, which will be his first film in a while, and has plans for a summer 2023 tour with his band the Hollywood Vampires.
