Why Peter got staggering Paradise within intimidation esque? Posted: 18 Jun 2022 02:43 AM PDT As an Egyptian slave who is granted superpowers by the ancient wizard, Shazam, Black Adam was originally going to be introduced in 2019’s Shazam!. However, Johnson made an executive decision, scrapping Black Adam cameos in other DC Extended Universe projects in favor of a definitive solo debut. Following a handful of enticing teases, the official trailer for Black Adam arrived on June 8, giving fans their first look at the character’s tragic backstory and explosive battle with anything/anyone who stands in his way. The response to it has been overwhelmingly positive. Johnson’s staggering social media presence is instrumental in the marketing of all his films. Recently, he took to his official Twitter account and thanked fans from the Iron Paradise for the “98% global positive review” of Black Adam’s trailer. I was not, girl. [laughs] At this point, the other day, I said it all day, and now my shame is gone. Now the shame of not having grown up a fan is gone and I can just keep it real simple and say "No, I wasn't." I had to crash course it. Thankfully, these movies play all the time on TV so I was able to catch up very quickly but I'm happy to be here now, and isn't that all that matters? Because it wasn't so precious to me, because I didn't have any weight on it, I think that took a lot of the pressure off for sure. It's a number of things: One, it wasn't precious. Two, because I love some homework, I love being prepared. I met on this film in March of 2019 and really I didn't get to work until June of 2020 so I had more than enough time to get through that period of intimidation so that I was like actually ready to work. Three, the star of these movies is the dinosaurs. OK? I know we have megastars, I know everybody is a megastar, and I respect them. I respect their amazing, accomplished careers but let's be real. As he mentions in the above video, Johnson has repeatedly hyped how his Dirty Harry-esque anti-hero will redefine the hierarchy of power in the DCEU. Johnson has made it clear before that he has big plans for Black Adam and sees himself portraying what could be his biggest role for years to come. His physical and mental commitment to the character stretches well beyond just this solo film, which indeed may spearhead the DCEU’s next chapter. Given the reaction to Zack Snyder’s Justice League, The Suicide Squad, Peacemaker, and The Batman, Black Adam appears to be a step in the right direction for what was once DC Films/Warner Bros.’ aimless DCEU. All of the projects mentioned have enjoyed an amount of creative freedom not granted to films like Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and 2016’s Suicide Squad. While Black Adam may never get to clash with Henry Cavill’s Superman, director Jaume Collect-Serra and Johnson likely had free reign to, hopefully, help usher in a new era in the DC universe. At the very least, the fandom’s reaction to the trailer’s massive scale and 960 frames per second technology bodes well for what they will experience in theaters on October 21, 2022. J!nx! Anyone who is serious about their work, whether academic or business, can make good use of this specialist software. Also, it takes just a few seconds for these tools to search the entire internet. Once your content has been compared to other texts on the web, they can quickly identify any passage, paragraph, or section that has been plagiarized. The speed at which this type of software analyzes content is astounding. Using a plagiarism checker to see how much of your work is plagiarized will give you a percentage of the plagiarized text. This way, you see the authenticity of your content and the need for modification. And there are tools that can help you set up an automatic acquisition funnel that will work on converting people into your clients. You should look into various tools for LinkedIn marketing. For instance, there are tools that can help you find the right audience and automate dull tasks. Indeed, sending invitations manually is a real pain in the neck and it takes a lot of time. But fortunately, there are tools that will automate this and even provide a personalized experience. With such a tool, you can easily send bulk invites and even messages in a few clicks. It's only a matter of a couple of seconds. A good CRM toolIt’s difficult to operate an efficient B2B marketing strategy if you can’t simply access, store, and use the data you have at your disposal. With a CRM, you gain a deeper understanding of your consumers and their needs, as well as send them relevant messages and develop a marketing strategy based on their actual experiences. For instance, you can simply configure Salesforce to meet your company’s specific requirements. Email marketing toolsCreating, executing, and analyzing email campaigns is a powerful approach to engaging with customers and enhancing your own marketing efforts. An email marketing tool should be included in the toolset of every effective B2B marketer. The majority of email marketing software provides the features necessary to launch campaigns. They will provide customizable email templates, many ways to test and optimize campaigns, and the opportunity to analyze data to determine how well you’re meeting your key metrics. You have probably heard about Mailchimp. It used to be the king of all email marketing tools back in the day. Today, this tool continues to be one of the most prominent email marketing companies. Their email marketing suite is user-friendly and packed with numerous marketing automation functions. Mailchimp offers extra services, such as a marketing CRM, content studio, and personalized campaign recommendations. This is similar to other providers in this field. Lead generation toolsThe number of leads that a B2B marketing strategy is able to create is a crucial measure for most B2B marketers. Because of this, making an investment in tools and technologies that are created specifically to assist in the creation of leads can be a truly important decision. Certainly, the category of lead generation tools encompasses a wide variety of different products. Some of these systems help to acquire quality leads for your salespeople by making it easy to develop beautiful landing pages. Others help you find prospects by using intelligent tracking tools. For example, Sumo is a relatively straightforward lead capture application. It focuses on simplifying the process of gathering people’s email addresses as its primary goal. You can use their plugin on websites that run WordPress or Shopify, and then tweak it to get the most out of the features that help you develop email lists, such as pop-ups, scroll boxes, welcome mats, and smart bars. Final thoughtsIf you don't have the budgetary means to subscribe and start using all of these tools, try to implement as many of them as you can. They will make a considerable impact. But, you also need to know how to use them and make the most out of their features. The post 5 Tools to Use in Your B2B Marketing Strategy appeared first on KillerStartups. |

Importance of Microlearning In The Digital Age Posted: 17 Jun 2022 09:09 AM PDT Who thought that we'd make a swift leap from the industrial age into the digital age (also known as the information age)? Who thought that traditional libraries would be replaced by online libraries and that virtual spaces would be our new classrooms? Today, the mode, mechanism, and method of learning have undergone immense shifts. All this has changed because of rapid technological advancements and digitization. Since the modern generation is born and brought up in the digital environment, they seek instant and easy sources of information with just one click. They look for information that is short and to the point. This is why microlearning becomes important in the digital age for digital users. What is microlearning? Before we explain, what microlearning is, we'll take you to your school days. Remember, how we used to make small hundred words notes for revision prior to exams for quick revision. Having such notes ready beforehand ensures that one doesn't have to revise seven hundred pages of a book before exams. Also, such notes came in handy, as one could carry them in their pockets anywhere and anytime. Microlearning works the same way. Simply put, microlearning is a learning strategy that breaks down large volumes of information into small chunks. When the information contains smaller pieces, it becomes easier to consume and absorb the information. Microlearning follows a simple logic that "less is best". Why adopt microlearning in the digital age?Microlearning is a must in the digital age to fulfill the needs and demands of modern learners. Modern learners have the following characteristics which make microlearning an imperative.
Modern learners are independent and take charge of their learning. Hence, they look for sources of information that are easy to understand and don't force them to reach out to different people to make them understand.
Modern learners are creative and look at the problems from a different perspective. Creative thinking is stimulated by brainstorming and lateral thinking.
Modern learners are tech-savvy, i.e., they rely more on technology. They prefer to access information on their mobile phones or desktop computers instead of hunting for books in a traditional library.
Modern learners have a small attention span and may lose focus and interest early. They consider excessive and exaggerated information as a waste of time and energy. Now that you know how digital users are and what their needs are, you can understand why microlearning is pertinent in the modern world.
Since modern learners are independent and take complete responsibility for their learning, it becomes important to keep relevant and bite-sized information at their disposal, which is easy to manage and learn.
Imagine you're a chemistry teacher who wants students to understand the atomic models. There are two ways to teach this, one, by using the classroom board, and second, by using 3D modeling techniques. 3D modeling is a digital representation of physical objects obtained by maneuvering the edges, vertices, and faces. 3D modeling can be integrated with microlearning and help in shaping creative minds. So if the teacher wants to teach the atomic models, she can use 3D modeling to create digital representations of the atomic models and record micro-videos that foster creative thinking.
Since learners access information on their mobile phones, and tablets, eLearning content and courses either need to be shrunk or broken down into small packets. Such learning packets can be opened and consumed at any time of the day and at any place in the world. It's simply like you open a box of chocolates and eat as many as you can, and then save some for another time.
Before we dwell on this discussion, we ask you, what would you prefer, a long eighty-minute video on "how climate change is affecting the world?" or four twenty minutes short videos on the same topic? We know no one has the energy and patience to sit and watch eighty-minute-long videos. Such lengthy pieces of content, though, may feed you with a lot of relevant facts and information, but they're of no use if the learner feels distracted in between. It's better to make a short and subject-focused video that doesn't bombard learners with excessive information. This improves their retention as well as engagement with the content and courses. How to use microlearning in eLearning? In the above section, we have provided you with enough reasons why you should adopt microlearning in the digital age. Now the most important question that must be hitting you is how to use microlearning in eLearning? Here we're listing down some amazing ways in which you can use microlearning in eLearning.
Digital users love to learn when content is available in a variety of multimedia formats. This includes infographics, images, videos, podcasts, audios, etc. Multimedia usage works as a memory booster because learners will understand better through the visual and audio representation of learning resources. For instance, podcasts on a particular topic can be created that learners can listen to while having their lunch or dinner and even while they're traveling.
Microlearning and mobile learning are a perfect match for each other, and if you use them together, learners will fall head over heels in love with their eLearning courses and content. Mobile devices are the favorite gadgets of digital learners. They can carry such small devices in their pocket anywhere and dig a gold mine of information anytime. For mobile users, microlearning ensures that the information is short, crisp, and to the point and doesn't cause digital fatigue.
Microlearning and micro assessments help in brainstorming. It encourages deep and rich learning as the assessment bases learners on various formats of micro assessments like multiple choice based questions, fill-in-the-blanks, true or false, and questionnaires. Also, micro assessments ensure the timely completion of the course. Another advantage of micro assessments includes learners taking assessments find it less of a burden when they're asked questions in such a format and eliminate the chances of ghostwriting.
Microlearning and gamification make learning more fun and exciting. It fosters performance-based learning. By pairing up microlearning and gamification, you can induce new energies and spirits in learners by creating a competitive environment. Thus, learners see learning as a race and hence, learn, practice and revise and repeat the same process again and again to win the race. Learners who win the race or score the highest marks earn rewards with badges, coins, and trophies. You can display their name on the leaderboard so that they feel a sense of accomplishment. Wrapping upRegardless of the industry, you belong to, you must employ microlearning techniques to provide learners with a wealth of information at their fingertips. The modern world needs modern solutions and microlearning is what the digital learners need to promote rapid, rich, and relevant learning. Get Better At Startup Budgeting With These Six Tips Posted: 16 Jun 2022 03:51 PM PDT The first step is getting an idea for a startup. Then comes the need for money to get that startup rolling. Do you have both now? Good, you're ready to build a startup. But the thing is this. You can't just magically create one. You need to put together startup budgeting if you're going to get off the ground and stay afloat. Without it, money goes out the window, and you're out of a business, trying to answer questions with the investor. We've seen too many startups take this route, so it's best to know what you're doing. Here are six helpful tips that will get you on the right track to superstar startup budgeting! Get Your Startup Budgeting Costs Out of the Way FirstBefore you do anything else with your excess cash, you're going to need to cover the basics. This falls into two categories. The first is monthly expenses. That includes paying rent, electricity, phone, and anything that you basically need to keep the business running. Getting good strong Internet is a plus in today's world as well. Then, general up-front costs need to exist to get started. What equipment do you need? How many staffers will fill the daily roles? What kind of stuff is necessary for the breakroom? You need to cover all aspects – if possible – right off the bat and have some cash set aside for emergencies. Because of this, you'll be able to keep afloat longer. Try to do everything last-minute, and it's a recipe for disaster with your startup budgeting. No one needs that. How Much Will You Make Back? The next thing you need to estimate is how much your business makes. For example, Entertainment 7Twenty from the hit show Parks and Recreation. They tanked because they did all the spending before even figuring out an established business plan. With startup budgeting, that's a no-go. So check first to see what you need to make with your business and how you'll get there. Otherwise, you'll need to float that emergency cash. And you might just be in trouble once that depletes. Take it from Tom Haverford. Get a Good Accountant If PossibleAnother thing that made Entertainment 7Twenty fail was the lack of an accountant – unless absolutely necessary. They brought someone in after spending hundreds of thousands of dollars. As a result, they lost – big time. You do not want this to be a real-life scenario with your startup budgeting. So get a good accountant or accounting team to help keep track of numbers. Make sure they're met properly with expenses and sales and what-not, and figure out what you can save for later. This is vital for the growth of the business, so don't go super-spendy when you don't need to. This ties into… Prepare to Pay Those TaxesAnother thing that can throw a business off-guard with startup budgeting is taxes. Some states like to tax businesses more than others, depending on where they operate. This is something you should have prepared for. Again, this makes accounting so vital for your business. Having someone that can save money for taxes without digging into an emergency fund is key. Without that, you're going to run out of money. And then the worst could come out of a court case. Remember, think ahead. Make sure you cover all the bases with taxes. Because if you're operating in someone's city, you'll need to make sure this particular quota is met. You Never Know When Something or Someone Is Going to Break"Do I really need an emergency fund with startup budgeting?" Yes, and there are several reasons why. Even if you have an established variable cost page and cash flow statement, something unexpected could easily pop up. A machine breaks and will cost more to repair than replace. An employee gets sick and causes the workflow to fall behind. The building catches fire. Who knows, a lot can happen. That's why it's vital to have that emergency fund or backup plan. If you don't have that, business as usual is going to be a problem while you balance everything. So before you even open your doors to anyone, make absolutely sure you've got a nest egg for a rainy day. And don't actually spend that startup budget on a rainy day. Consult Others to See What They DidFinally, advice is a sage thing. Most of the time you can get it for free, though business advisors can also provide a detailed plan. With advice, you'll get the most from your startup budgeting. That's because others can tell you where they failed and succeeded. Stick to people you trust. Talk with people that understand your business and what you need to "make it," not "fake it.” Learn from these masters, then apply these tips to your own general business. The more you learn, the better you'll get with startup budgeting. The post Get Better At Startup Budgeting With These Six Tips appeared first on KillerStartups. |
How to Make Company Flex Schedules Work for Everyone Posted: 16 Jun 2022 10:17 AM PDT The demand for flexible work schedules is on the rise. Almost 80% of the workers in the U.S. would prefer a job offering a flexible work schedule over one without. As a consequence, this results in employers starting to accommodate this request. So, why are so many people expecting flex schedules? Well, flexible work schedules are good for employees, because they can organize their lives around their jobs — not the other way around. However, it has plenty of benefits for employers too. For example, employee retention, productivity, diversity, and engagement may all be boosted by flexible scheduling. As such, it's no surprise that this is one of the most popular employee benefits. What are the best ways to set up flexible work hours that work for your business and your employees? Here's what you need to know. What is a Flexible Work Schedule Policy? Before going further, let's quickly explain a flexible work schedule policy. Employees can modify arrival and departure times when employers offer flexible work schedules. Employees can also decide how long and where they work. It's an alternative way to work instead of the antiquated 9 to 5, 40-hour workweeks. You should know that the Fair Labor Standards Act in the U.S. doesn't address flexible work hours. Instead, it's something between employer and employee. With that in mind, employees should be clearly informed who is covered by the policy and when a flexible schedule is available. In addition, you should consider a variety of flex schedules to meet the needs of all your employees.
How to Make Company Flex Schedules Work for EveryoneHopefully, you have a better understanding of what a flex schedule is, as well as its variations. Now you can focus on making a company flex schedule that works for everyone. 1. Involve employees in planning. When establishing flex plans, companies often make the mistake of not communicating well with workers. So, the easiest solution? Develop a flexible work program based on the interests and needs of your employees. Determine whether the new work arrangement is right for them. For example, will employees remain productive under the new arrangement? An ideal agreement would satisfy the employees' personal needs while addressing the company's need to provide high-quality products and services. How can you get your team involved? You could collect feedback through surveys, one-on-ones, or town halls. You can ask your team for feedback in many ways, but know what works best for your people. For example, in team meetings, some employees might feel more comfortable offering candid feedback. Others might prefer a confidential, anonymous survey. 2. Know your team."As a business leader, it's your responsibility to know the people on your team," writes Howie Jones in a previous Calendar article. "Knowing who you work with allows you to be mindful of their tendencies and build more than just trust." It is also easier to delegate tasks to your workers if you know them well. As a result, you'll have more insight into the team, which will help when selecting a combination of personalities for a specific project or team. Knowing you've already done the hard work, you can resist the urge to micromanage them. Remote workers can be more challenging to get to know than their in-person counterparts. Follow these steps to get to know them:
Respected leaders motivate their workers to keep working through tough times. If more needs to be done, they will speak up for it. In short, make an effort to get to know them. 3. Instill a sense of purpose."It is time for a flexible work paradigm shift, with less focus on where or when we work, but rather on how value is generated," Jason Grover, HR Vice President Polaris Industries Inc., told Forbes. "COVID has taught us that our productivity is contingent less on location, more on leadership instilling a sense of purpose." When we align employees with salient priorities and foster an environment where they can give their best effort, he says people are more likely to choose the most productive path. 4. Conduct a trial run.If you're apprehensive about starting a flexible work plan or getting a lot of resistance, a trial run might help. Create a trial, flexible work program before launching a full-scale program. The process can be carried out by a single department or a small group of employees from various departments. Run the trial for at least a month to work out the kinks and collect data. You may notice that not everyone is cut out for remote work. While others, however, thrive in a WFH environment. 5. Flexibility is all about being flexible. How does a company like Vistaprint make flex schedules work? "Some of us work best from our bedrooms," the company states. "Some of us prefer an office environment." The company's goal is to provide its team members the flexibility to choose the work environment that best suits them. "Our offices have become collaboration centers with bookable hotdesks and a mix of spaces where team members can meet in person to work and socialize whenever needed," they continue. "Any team members who choose to leverage these collaboration centers can do so as frequently or infrequently as they like, and they will continue to have the autonomy to create their own schedules." 6. Establish a standard work window. It can be challenging to bring people together if they have different schedules at work. Thus, a typical window schedule helps manage flexible scheduling most effectively. Regardless of the time of day your employees work, set core hours, for example, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. That means everyone is expected to be available at those hours throughout the week. You can use this time to delegate tasks, hold meetings, or bond as a team. Employers have a "schedule center" if a typical work window is implemented, which they can use to plan their schedules. However, it is the workers' responsibility to manage their schedules efficiently. 7. Be consistent. When informal policies aren't applied consistently, it causes resentment, bad morale, employee loss, and even legal trouble. To prevent this, develop a detailed, clearly-stated, and non-discriminatory policy on the company's flexible work arrangements. 8. Redefine productivity."Flexible work demands a shift away from seeing productivity in terms of being present for fixed working hours," says Jane Parry. "Indeed, the problem of presenteeism — where people feel compelled to show their face at work even if they are ill—only feeds into the productivity puzzle." Companies (and managers) need to establish better performance metrics. How? By asking questions like:
"These are much more effective yardsticks of success than whether staff clock in at 9 a.m. each morning," adds Parry. 9. Don't have a communication breakdown.A flexible schedule may leave co-workers and supervisors without business and social contacts. However, including flex staff in staff meetings will prevent them from feeling overlooked or alienated from co-workers and managers. You could also set dedicated Slack channels so everyone can communicate and collaborate. Or schedule regular Zoom check-ins. Furthermore, contact with other employees shouldn't be limited to e-mail. Make it a point to have additional contact points, such as phone numbers. At the same time, know when it's appropriate to text or call your team members. For example, contacting them Friday evening should be avoided unless it's an absolute emergency. Preferably, you should reach out during the agreed-upon core hours. 10. Monitor, assess, and update. An evolving process of improvements or developments may be required as a condition of flexible work arrangements. Therefore, take the time to review whether or not flex programs are meeting goals. If not, then adjust them as necessary. Again, encourage employees to give feedback and keep the lines of communication open. And as mentioned above, you can use a limited-time pilot program when launching a new plan. If the plan is unsuccessful, you might have to return to the company's prior traditional work arrangements. One more thing. Stay abreast of any potential legal issues. Employees must be carefully classified as exempt or non-exempt by their employers. For example, for hours worked beyond 40 hours in a given work week — non-exempt employees get overtime. Therefore, those employees will have to document their work hours. Image Credit: Ketut Subiyanto; Pexels; Thank you!
