Intel shows off Arc Alchemist GPU and Limited Edition design at IRL esports event Posted: 03 Jun 2022 05:30 PM PDT Intel has once again teased its upcoming Arc GPU lineup, marking another odd showing in an overall confusing marketing campaign. For context, Arc Alchemist GPUs are long overdue for release, and there’s still no clear launch date for desktop graphics cards even though limited numbers of Arc laptops are technically for sale in South Korea already. Intel claims the cards will go on sale sometime this summer. Despite this, Intel showed off the Limited Edition Alchemist desktop card reference design at Intel Extreme Masters (IEM), an in-person esports event hosted by the company. Attendees were able to see the graphics card up close and even take a few games for a spin to get a feel for the performance. This isn’t the first time we’ve seen the Limited Edition desktop card design. Intel first revealed it back in March. It’s a good looking card with a two-fan cooling solution that’s about two slots thick. Presumably, this is the top-end model that’s...
OlliOlli developers to release shooter-skater hybrid Rollerdrome in August Posted: 03 Jun 2022 03:15 PM PDT One of the more intriguing games announced during yesterday’s State of Play presentation came in the form of Rollerdrome. This stylish new game comes from Roll7, the developer behind the well-received OlliOlli series, including the fantastic OlliOlli World. Much like those games, Rollerdrome places an emphasis on skating, but it distinguishes itself by mixing that expressive style of gameplay with high-octane third-person shooting. It certainly seems like a fun premise that provides a welcome contrast to OlliOlli World‘s more laid-back vibe. Interestingly, even though Roll7 is still working on DLC for OlliOlli World, the developer already has Rollerdrome slated for a release on August 16. Those who have played OlliOlli World will immediately notice the visual similarities between it and Rollerdrome. Both have a cel-shaded aesthetic propped up by bold color choices. But whereas OlliOlli World boasted an inviting, cartoony art style, Rollerdrome incorporates so...

Wolfenstein: The New Order is Epic Games Store’s weekly free game Posted: 03 Jun 2022 02:00 PM PDT Epic Games is known to give out a weekly free game to draw customers to its storefront. And during its special MEGA Sale event, it has given away incredible free games in an effort to capitalize as much as possible during this time. This week Wolfenstein: The New Order will be free for all to download until June 9 on the Epic Games Store. Borderlands 3 and BioShock: The Collection already listed for free on the platform earlier this month. The storefront offers these games for a week at a time, so make sure to check these next two weeks for giveaways. Wolfenstein: The New Order asks the question: “What if the Nazi’s won World War Two?” The premise is simple and to the point. Coming from MachineGames, the experience Wolfenstein: The New Order brings is unlike anything else. Reviving the franchise with its deep storytelling and controversial premise, this game is absolutely worthy as successor to the franchise. Set 14 years prior to the original game, Wolfenstein: The...
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake has been indefinitely delayed once again Posted: 03 Jun 2022 01:30 PM PDT Fans of Prince of Persia have had a rough time over the last decade, and it’s about to get worse. Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake has been indefinitely delayed. This was suspected after retailers began delisting pre-orders for the title, as well as allegedly warning customers that their orders will not arrive. In a statement to IGN, Ubisoft confirmed that Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake is “no longer targeting a FY23 release.” In other terms, we won’t be seeing the game until after September 2023 at the very least. It’s not looking good for the remake, but the extra time may give Ubisoft the chance to correct its development. It’s not looking good for Prince of Persia For those keeping score, this is not the first delay to hit Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake. It was first announced in September 2020, with an expected release date of January 2021. However, development issues caused the release date to be moved t...
