But Kunio-kun and his friends are back with a themed adventure to offer another angle to the historical carnage. It’s been quite some time since a proper Kunio-kun game was released, which was either River City Ransom: Underground or River City: Tokyo Rumble, depending on how you feel about those. River City Saga: Three Kingdoms has all of the classic elements of the series, albeit with a different setting, but the question stands: is River City Saga: Three Kingdoms worth it? The game begins with a brief introduction to the setting. It starts off with Guan Yu (who looks and acts like Kunio-kun) in his village. But the Yellow Turban Rebellion casts a shadow on the countryside.
