| New Vampire Survivors update adds a ‘Boss Rash’ challenge mode Posted: 21 Jul 2022 04:00 PM PDT  Another day, another Vampire Survivors update. This time, developer poncle has released Patch 0.9, dubbed “The Flashy One,” signaling that Vampire Survivors is very close to receiving the full 1.0 version. In all, this new update introduces the Boss Rash challenge mode, the Gemini and Twilight Requiem Arcanas, one new character, a hidden game mechanic, and four new achievements alongside the usual tweaks and bug fixes. Mostly a fairly standard update, all things considered, but players will likely enjoy what it has to offer nonetheless. Out of all the additions introduced in the patch, the Boss Rash mode stands out as the most significant one. This mode sees players attempting to survive as long as they can against a horde of enemies and bosses from the main game. This Quake-inspired shooter from developer Action Forms earned a fairly middling reception upon its release in 1997. Although the game has its fans, you won’t hear many people talking about it today. Not exactly the most impactful of legacies, but players still deserve the opportunity to experience obscure games like this. Fortunately, Action Forms has partnered up with developer General Arcade and publisher SNEG to release Chasm: The Rift on Steam come October. TMNT: The Cowabunga Collection has been confirmed for a late August release date on PC. The collection brings together 13 of the best (and maybe not so best) Turtles games all in one package. Thankfully, most of the games are great, even if they do sit side by side with the one that has the nightmare-inducing dam level. It really is the year of the Turtles, isn’t it?
