Kollective Coffee and Kitchen is an aesthetically pleasing, artistic independent café inside Site Gallery, on Brown Street, serving coffees, lunches, brunch and breakfasts as well as a range of amazing looking cakes/desserts.
I visited Kollective Kitchen in the city centre with a friend for brunch one Saturday after eyeing up some amazing looking plates of food on their Instagram page. Based not far away from the train or bus station, and with a number of car parks, Kollective is not hard to get to at all if you're visiting Sheffield centre. Based inside the Site Gallery but welcoming all visitors, it is a lovely place to be for an enjoyable breakfast or lunch or even just a coffee and catch up. They also have a Nether Edge café open as well.
With a slight hangover and a great sounding menu, it was a little tough for me to make a decision between the "BBQ Benedict" (BBQ beef brisket, sriracha hollandaise, poached eggs & crispy onions on toasted sourdough) or "Loaded Croissant" - but I went with the latter. I DEFINITELY need to return to try the brisket!
We enjoyed;
Loaded Croissant - (V available) Smoked streaky bacon, grilled halloumi, smashed avocado, scrambled egg & chive sour cream in a toasted butter croissant - This was absolutely divine! The croissant was MASSIVE and crisp, with the fillings aplenty and delicious. Would eat again.
Bacon Stacked Pankcakes - (VG available) Stacked fluffy pancakes, topped with maple bacon, blueberries & maple syrup - these pancakes were thick and fluffy and just right. My friend's eyes were bigger than her belly I think as she couldn't manage them all but the different elements to the dish go really well together.
Mocha & Cappuccino to wash the breakfasts down with were spot on.
Service here was great and the cakes/desserts on the counter looked so good I couldn't stop looking at them but sadly definitely had no room left for more food after my meal.
