I recently checked out one of Rancho Bernardo's newest eateries and was most impressed! Hoorah Breakfast Cafe & Bar has only been open about six months and I can tell they're already pleasing a broad cross-section of customers. Open daily from 7am-3pm, they specialize in breakfast and lunch fare. The nice thing is breakfast is served the whole time, until they close. The restaurant is large, spacious, clean and modern. They seemed well staffed and service was thoughtful and professional. The kitchen is semi-opened; I always appreciate being able to see the cooks. Reservations are available for parties of 5 or more. Beer & wine only.
Since it was my first visit I ordered a couple things. It was a ton of food! I tried a bowl of the New England Clam Chowder. Not the best chodwer I've had but it was hot throughout, thick, and a decent amount of clams. Included taters and whatnot as you'd typically find, although I did not discern any bacon. I wish they offered a cup portion because the bowl serving was just way too much. I then had the California Greek Salad. Basically a traditional Greek salad with the addition of avocado. It was an abundant portion and really tasty. I just wish the huge cucumber slabs were cut up. Kind of cumbersome to eat. I will definitely be back here again soon to try one of their great looking breakfast dishes!
