If you love authentic Mexican food served fresh, then you'll love Taco Mex. We were kindly invited to try their food and dine in their upstairs restaurant, based on London Road, Sheffield. Taco Mex is open daily and have halal, vegan and gluten free options. Order a takeaway from them via Foodhub, Deliveroo, Uber Eats or Just Eat.
There are so many food venues on London Road, it would be hard to narrow down your choice. But I have to say for Mexican food at it's best, you should choose Taco Mex. The portions here are big so you won't be left hungry. This restaurant is a popular takeaway but they also have a dining area too, so enjoy that restaurant feel and have your food presented to you in an eye-popping, mouthwatering way by dining with them as well. We were well looked after on our invite here.
We enjoyed; Nachos to share; with beans, salsa, guac and cheese - these are eye-poppingly good! Burrito with chicken thigh, medium spice salsa and added guac served with tortilla chips - real comfort food all wrapped up! Yummy. Enchiladas with beef chilli, hot spice salsa and added guac topped with sauce and served with tortilla chips - delicious Jarritos - mango and cola - really refreshing. I can see myself sipping a lot of this cola in Mexico when we go in September. Churros with chocolate sauce - OMG these were so so good I could have sat there all night eating them till I burst. Really warming and indulgent and so satisfying for my sweet tooth! Again, these will be feasted on when we are in Mexico!
Staff were really friendly and looked after us and I can see why this is a popular place on London road, everything we ate was superb and we couldn't fault it.
Taco Mex's menu is vast. As well as being able to enjoy the options we went with above, there are lots of other choices on the menu such as Tacos (of course), Quesadillas, Wings, Burgers, various Platters and Desserts. Check out their menu here.
