We're now in Killarney, a small town on the shores of Lough Leane in southwest Ireland's County Kerry. This charming town is filled with 19th century buildings and the locals are so warm and welcoming. Cronin's Restaurant came highly recommended and we enjoyed a lovely time dining here. I had the "Kerry Coastal Seafood Chowder" made with a rich blend of local seafood in a classic velouté sauce, white wine and delicately seasoned with dill. The "Cajun Spiced Calamari" served with their homemade garlic mayo and chili sauce. The "Garlic Ciabatta" was generously gratinated with cheddar cheese. Lady FoodObs had the "Shepherd's Pie". Traditional minced Irish beef and vegetables, slow cooked in a rich gravy, topped with buttery mashed potatoes.
