Such an exquisite dinner at The Grill Room inside the beautiful River Lee Hotel in Cork! We started with an order of soft-baked bread with dill & garlic butter. I had a lovely Italian burrata with olive tapenade, heirloom tomato and aged Balsamic. My main was an outstanding Corn-fed chicken Milanese with capers, rocket, Parmesan and fries. Lady FoodObs had a perfectly prepared steak; Jr FoodObs a nice salmon dish. Whilst we shared a few desserts, the most notable was an Irish chocolate treacle cake crowned with a whiskey mousse, served with toasted oats and sour honey. Definitely a tremendous gustatory experience!
