From the world famous Paddington Station in London we caught a train headed west out to Cardiff in Wales. This seaside town is decidedly more coarse or rough around the edges than what we experienced in London. Nonetheless it was a beautiful and fun place to visit. We enjoyed lunch at The Pen & Wig not far from our hotel. I've observed on this trip that there are certain ubiquitous dishes on almost every menu. One of them is lasagna and being a fan of good Italian food I ordered it here. It was very tasty, served with a small side salad and garlic bread. We also enjoyed a small plate of fried prawns and calamari.
