We're now in Cork, the second largest city in the Republic of Ireland, founded in the 6th century. It's such a beautiful town in the south, near the coast. We had a most lovely lunch on the terrace at The River Club within the stunning River Lee Hotel where we stayed. Toasted Heggarty cheddar sourdough, heritage tomato & harissa sandwich was outstanding. The order of onion rings we shared was exquisite. Of course another Guinness and a G&T to round it all out. Time for an afternoon nap.
