Our dinner at Poppie's was on the early side so as the evening wore on we were getting hungry again. It was rainy out so we stayed close to our hotel in Victoria Station. Fortunately just steps away was the beautiful and historic St. George's Tavern! This is one of those places where you have to order on their app, no exceptions. I am not a fan of that! Had to download, sign up, add payment info, etc. Such an unnecessary chore. Anyway, we had a big shareable appetizer called "Landlord's Platter". Here in the US, we'd probably just call it a "Super Sampler Platter". It consisted of balsamic glazed mini chorizos, sticky beef brisket croquettes, boneless chicken pieces, padron peppers, mac & cheese bites, plus a selection of dips. Everything was all very tasty. It was here where we had among the best sticky toffee puddings of our trip. Served with choice of vanilla ice cream or rich, creamy custard.
