Today was definitely the most lengthy and trying travel day so far! We boarded the train from Cardiff north to Holyhead. No reserved seats and the cars got more full at each stop until it was standing room only. Our 4 large suitcases in tote only made it more exciting. Once at the port in Holyhead we boarded the ferry for Dublin, Ireland! This Stena Line ferry is huge! Hundreds of motor vehicles and tractor trailers on the lower decks. The upper decks was like being on a cruise ship! It was so nice and a much needed respite after our train odyssey. The ferry trip across the Irish Sea was about 3 hours. I had access to a nice variety of complimentary wines and ate a tasty tomato and bacon "Toasty". Our rescue from Paddington Station enjoyed the trip as well on the huge ship.
