After visiting the stunning Cliffs of Moher we stopped for a nice lunch at Vaughan's Anchor Inn! Established in 1979, it's a traditional bar and restaurant serving great Irish food in the fishing village of Liscannor, County Clare. I ordered "Vaughan's Fish & Chips". Made with a 21 year old (starter) batter; the spuds are peeled, cut, steamed and fried in beef dripping and includes an excellent tartar sauce. This is where I had probably the best F&C of the whole trip! The batter was so thin, light and crispy. It remained perfectly adhered to the fish flesh without sloughing off.
