It's quite hard to translate the term "jiaotuan", which is a typical snack in Xian, China. Essentially it's made by stirring (jiao) flour into a paste and solidifying it, then cutting it into slices or chunks. I believe the one here was made by corn flour, but I can't say I remember it being too impressive or memorable.
