We were kindly invited to see what the recently refurbished Three Magpies based in Brinsworth, which is part of the Sizzling Pubs franchise, had to offer, and the answer to that is LOADS. As with other Sizzling Pubs, the menu at Three Magpies is VAST but at least that means they should be able to cater for everyone. AD|INVITE

Clearly a hit with the locals, when we arrived the large, sunny beer garden was full of friends and families and we were straight at ease and warmly welcomed. The inside dining areas is big, so I don't think you'd need to book ahead unless you are going as a large group.

We enjoyed;

  • NEW Spicy Chicken Nachos for two (£9.29)- Tortilla chips loaded with salt and chilli chicken fries, their own hot sauce, jalapeños, salsa and nachos cheese sauce. We got a mountain of nachos, we thoroughly enjoyed these, they weren't overly spicy.
  • NEW BBQ Beef Rib Skillet (£14.99) - A succulent two-bone BBQ beef rib topped with chilli, spring onion and corlander, served on a bed of sizzling vegetables with basmati rice (you could also choose fries instead). The rib was melt in the mouth delicious. A tad bit fatty for me in places but the whole skillet and rice went so well together!
  • NEW The Greek Dirty Burger (£11.29) - Beef burger topped with Greek-style chicken, American-style cheesy slices, onion rings and jalapenos, drizzled with our own hot sauce and tzatziki, served with fries. This was a knife and fork job due to falling apart but it was really good and went down a treat. The chicken really adds something different to this burger.
  • Our usual pints of Strongbow Dark Fruits & Stellas

The pub has a lot more to offer including ales, spirits, cocktails and many more starters, mains and desserts, we were just too full to eat more! Three Magpies also have breakfasts available.

Offers;

  • Mix & Match on Starters - Enjoy 3 for £11 or 5 for £16.75
  • 2 MAINS FROM £11.75, available Monday - Friday from 12pm
  • Kids Eat for £1 Monday to Friday from 3pm, when you buy an adult main meal
  • Kids' Meal Deal offers a main, dessert and a drink (including a fruit shoot!) for only £4.49 (under 5's) or £5.49 (over 5's), available from 12pm every day
  • 2 cocktails from £8.25 all day, every day
  • Monday - any drink, all day for £2.50

This is a great place to go for some decent pub grub at reasonable prices.

⏰ Open daily from 9:30am. Find out more about Three Magpies on their website here.
