Ever since I passed by a Burmese restaurant at Bayview Village, I was intrigued - after all, it's not every day you see Burmese cuisine around, and I don't even know what kind of food that is. So when my friend asked me what I wanted to have lunch, I said, let's go get Burmese food. And without prior planning, we stumbled upon Summerlicious in Toronto, where Popa was a participant. Of course, we weren't sure if we were even able to get a seat without a reservation, but it only took about half an hour or so of waiting and we were in! For the main course, I chooce the "beef kebat", which was described as "marinated beef stir-fried with onions, tomatoes, cilantro, japaneos, tumeric, masala, and paprike". A whole bunch of spices and flavours, alright, and it was spicier than it appeared! Luckily I enjoyed the spiciness, and I really liked the tenderness of the beef as well. Certainly a unique experience!
