| Posted: 30 Aug 2021 12:49 PM PDT Normally when I dream of an island getaway it involves palm trees, white sands and a Bali style pavilion or two. Today’s island dream is an old shipbuilder’s cabin on Vashon Island in Washington’s Puget Sound. Designers Hoedemaker Pfeiffer wove their magic over a year, gut-renovating and reinstating the history and personality of the house. An island dream indeed! Photography by Thomas J. Story  |
