Star Wars Comic Has Epic Battle Between Ren & Vader

Posted: 29 Apr 2022 11:43 AM PDT

The latest issue of the Star Wars comic spinoff Crimson Reign showed a surprising battle between two factions of legendary characters. If you’re not caught up on the latest issue of Crimson Reign, then look away now. There are going to be plenty of spoilers ahead!

Clash of the Legends

Star Wars Comic

The original trilogy and sequel series of Star Wars came to a head in the newest edition of the Star Wars comic. The Knights of Ren came up against the almighty force of Darth Vader. You might think they’d be on the same side, but not this time. In a surprising turn of events, it was actually the Knights of Ren who gained a victory in this fight. You can catch the full fight in Star Wars: Crimson Reign issue 4, which came out today.

Earlier, the Knights of Ren journeyed to the volcanic planet of Mustafar to try and dominate over the Sith. Qi’ra gave them this information. You might know her from Solo: A Star Wars Story, where she played Han Solo’s first love interest. She has played an important role in this Star Wars comic spinoff.

The Knights of Ren are looking for a secret key, which they believe is inside Darth Vader’s castle. That’s certainly not a journey that any of us would take lightheartedly! However, their trip went along a lot easier than expected. Surprisingly, any defenses to the castle are pretty minimal. The Knights of Ren take the key and begin to leave the deadly castle behind.

Darth Vader’s Revenge

Star Wars Comic

Suddenly, Darth Vader appears out of nowhere and is keen to stop them from leaving. Darth Vader uses his force choking powers on the Knights without saying a few words. Before any of them can react, Vader kills one of the Knight of Ren. Angered, Kylo Ren fights back against Vader with his lightsaber. A fearsome fight then starts between the two of them, a first for the Star Wars comic.

As you might expect, Vader is able to strike against Ren with a lightsaber to the side quickly. However, Kylo Ren has a trick up his sleeve and jumps through the window. Clearly, he knows when there’s a greater enemy and decides to flee the scene. The other Knights follow suit after him, and it seems like the end for the Star Wars comic.

Then, Kylo stops running to tease Vader, telling him that the Knights have managed to snatch the key. So, Vader attempts to use his Force powers to claim the key back from Kylo Ren. He gets very close to his goal. However, it turns out this was all part of Ren’s ruse. The Knights of Ren turn their weapons on Vader and shoot at him.

Finally, Vader is forced to fight against the Knights of Ren. He is too distracted to focus solely on the key, and Kylo Ren is able to flee the scene. The remaining Knights soon follow him, happy in their seeming victory over the Dark Lord. One of the last scenes of the Star Wars comic is of Vader’s fury at being bested.

What’s Next for the Star Wars Comic?

Star Wars Comic

However, it seems like it might be too early for the Knights to start celebrating. The cover for issue 5 of Crimson Reign features Darth Vader. So, we know he’s not out of the picture yet! In fact, the next issue will include Qi’ra “learn[ing] a lesson that the Jedi Order also came to understand. Underestimate Emperor Palpatine and pay the price.”

We can guess that this isn’t the last we’ll see of Darth Vader in the Star Wars comic. If you’d like to catch up on Crimson Reign, you can pick up issue 5 now from Marvel.

Money Heist: Korea – Korean Money Heist Remake Already Has Premiere Date

Posted: 29 Apr 2022 11:28 AM PDT

If you liked Netflix’s famous show Money Heist, we have good news. Netflix has a new version coming soon. The streaming giant presented the first trailer for this new product to premiere this year. This new version is called Money Heist: Korea – Join Economic Area, and the title is pretty self-explanatory.

Money Heist Spain

Many will already know the series Money Heist, a Spanish show that had five seasons full of suspense. Now it seems like, given the success of the series Squid Game, Netflix has decided to do a Korean version of Money Heist. We must remember that Squid Game was a resounding success, holding the record of the most watched on Netflix so far.

The new series will have similar and different elements from Money Heist, with top actors and a unique directing team. Many fans have high expectations, especially Netflix, which sees this as an excellent opportunity to increase its numbers after the fall of its shares and the loss of 200,000 subscribers.

Netflix Announces Premiere of Money Heist: Korea

Netflix announced the premiere of Money Heist: Korea – Join Economic Area, a remastering of Money Heist to be released this year. The announcement came in conjunction with a teaser image showing a white mask. It stated that it would be available from June 24 on its streaming platform.

Its premiere will be in all markets where Netflix participates. So don’t worry, you will be able to watch it from almost anywhere on the planet. As with Squid Game, Money Heist: Korea will be subtitled in several languages to adapt to local audiences.

This production will have many differences, said Jun Jong-Seo, one of the actresses part of the cast. She explained that the characters would have the same names as in the previous production, but their personalities and ideologies are entirely different.

So far, the plot is set in North and South Korea, in a time when both nations forget their differences and unite. They decide to create a single currency for the general population of both the south and the north. They ignore that there is an entire plan to steal all the new coins.

Everything we Know About the Show so far

The show’s first season will have at least 12 episodes. Each one will last approximately 1 hour of continuous streaming on Netflix. It will premiere on June 24 and be available in all countries where Netflix participates.

Another fact is that Alex Piña, the Showrunner for the original version, also has a leading role in the Korean version. He will be the creative producer of it, and he stated the following about this new series:

“Korean creators have been developing their own language and audiovisual culture for years. They have managed, like our series, to go beyond cultural borders and become a point of reference for thousands of viewers around the world, especially among young people. That is why I find it fascinating that the world of La Casa de Papel is so attractive to Korean creators as to do an adaptation. The fact that the action is set on the Korean Peninsula also seems to me to be a milestone which I am really delighted about.”

The cast for this new adaptation was also revealed in the first trailer. Yoo Ji-Tae is in charge of playing The Professor; Berlin will be Park Hae-Soo, while Jun Jong-seo will play Tokyo. Lee Won Jong, Kim Ji-Hun, and Jang Yoon-Ju will play Moscow, Denver, and Nairobi respectively. Park Jung-Woo in the role of Rio, Kim Ji-Hun as Helsinki, and Lee Kyu-Ho playing Oslo complete the gang.

Do you think Money Heist: Korea will be as successful as the original version from Spain? Tell us in the comments

Doctor Strange 2 Cameos – New Spot Confirms Two Characters

Posted: 29 Apr 2022 07:27 AM PDT

The euphoria for the cameos in Doctor Strange 2, better known as In The Multiverse of Madness, is at a fever pitch. Disney has taken it upon themselves to raise the hype with a recent spot confirming the cameos of two new characters beloved by fans. Marvel plans to do justice to the title of the new Doctor Stephen Strange movie because, as predicted, the film will feature many exciting characters from the Marvel multiverse never before seen in the UCM universe.

New Spot Confirms Two Marvel Characters

Spoilers ahead, watch out!. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will hit theaters on May 6th under the direction of Sam Raimi. But, if you can’t wait until that day, the movie’s beginning has been revealed, and the first battle between the titular hero and Gargantos has been released.

Doctor Strange Trailer Secrets

But what many fans thought was just a rumor has just been confirmed. Disney released a very revealing spot just a few days before the premiere of Doctor Strange 2, where Captain Carter, whom we met in the animated series What if…? is introduced in the live-action format played by Hayley Atwell. We will also look at Charles Xavier, played by Sir Patrick Stewart. The video also confirms Monica Rambeau as Captain Marvel, played by Lashana Lynch in the feature film.

After seeing the first trailer, we already suspected Patrick Stewart’s appearance in the film, where X-Men enthusiasts heard his voice. Yesterday Thursday was finally published footage where his appearance is (practically) confirmed. In a brief frame, we can see a hand resting on a yellow surface, which reminds us of Professor X’s chair in the X-Men animated series. We also got a glimpse of Captain Carter, the alternate version of Captain America that we got to see in the animated series What If…, where Peggy Carter takes on this role. In one of her multiple versions, the captain seems to be fighting against Wanda in a kind of barracks.

The Premiere is Getting Closer

Captain Carter’s cameo has been on fans’ lips since the first Multiverse of Madness poster was unveiled. This was a highly acclaimed character from the animated series What If...?, and fans are eager to see the character played by Hayley Atwell in live-action. We can now affirm that the rumors were true and that we will see this charismatic heroine in the UCM.

One character that remains a mystery is the luminous figure similar to Captain Marvel in the trailer. Many pointed out that it could be Maria Rambeau (Lashana Lynch), as a variant of Captain Marvel in that universe. However, unlike the other two characters, we cannot confirm it yet.

There is only one week left until we see the cameos in Doctor Strange 2. The fact that the X-Men will enter the UCM is a great event. Let’s remember that they were among the first Marvel heroes to go to the big screen with success. These characters enjoy great fame and affection from the fandom, who are eager to see them in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The new Doctor Strange 2 spot is considered a leak, as it is not yet uploaded to any official Marvel Studios source. However, with this new spot, we now really know why it’s called the Multiverse of Madness as pretty much anything else could happen in Doctor Strange 2, so hold on tight as the movie is sure to be packed with many more surprises.

What do you think about the appearance of Captain Carter, Professor X, and Monica Rambeau in Doctor Strange 2? Who else would you like to see in the new Marvel feature film?

Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel Making a Major Change

Posted: 29 Apr 2022 05:47 AM PDT

Konami is said to be working on a huge update for Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel. Unlike many competitive online games, the popular free-to-play game manages to match, and people are wondering what Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel Making a Major Change would be about. The definitive edition of the challenging card game that has evolved over the past two decades! Compete alongside Duelists from all around the world at the greatest level.

You can battle any player, regardless of rank, in Ranked Duels. Skill-based matching (SBMM) is the industry standard, which matches you with opponents of comparable skill levels. Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel is strange. This was not included in the initial introduction of Ranked Duels; however, it appears that this is changing.

Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel Guide reports on Twitter that Konami is adjusting the matching in ranking Duels so that players can match with opponents from the same tier. If you’ve been paying attention to the game’s community, you’ll notice that this is exactly what gamers have been clamoring for. As a result, it’s no wonder that players are happy to learn of the adjustment.

Players may also set up three major cards in the Deck Building menu, which will appear while hovering over the deck in any menu. This allows you to double-check any deck’s fundamental components without having to open each one separately. When you’re in the real deck building, the menu will resemble that of previous Yu-Gi-Oh! Games, such as Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Links.

Master Duel, on the other hand, has a number of unique features and aesthetics, such as the ability to search not just your own cards but also the game’s full database of 10,000+ cards. If you don’t have a card, use the “How to Obtain” option under the card’s description box to find out where you may acquire one. You may still filter your results based on Monster Type, Card Type, Level, and other factors.

The business also provided a quick description of the card production function, demonstrating how users may create cards with Craft Points. You can get those Craft Points in this game by participating in different duels, challenging missions, or disassembling cards that you have several copies of.

Banlist of Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel:

For the game’s first Yu-Gi-Oh banlist update, no cards were added to the game’s Forbidden list, but the powerful Drytron and Eldlich strategies were damaged by the limiting of “Cyber Angel Benten” and “Conquistador of the Golden Land.” Due to the formidable boards, they can construct in a best-of-1 format, both decks have been rated among the strongest for Master Duel’s Ranked mode.

While the ban list for Master Duel will aim to shake up the competitive format; many players are already looking ahead to the game’s future and what cards are on the way. With numerous competitive mainstays like “Destiny HERO – Destroyer Phoenix Enforcer” and the Adventurer cards still on the horizon; the game’s card pool is ten months behind the actual card game.

While Konami’s initial ban list update takes a subtle approach to dealing with the game’s meta; You can expect the impending new cards to further shake up the ranking queue.

This was a discussion on the latest news that involves Yu-Gi-Oh Master Duel Making a Major Change. Anyone, regardless of skill level, may enjoy the complete Yu-Gi-Oh! Experience. If you’re a new player or haven’t Dueled in a while, don’t worry; the in-game examples will walk you through the fundamentals of the Yu-Gi-Oh!. When you finish, you’ll be handed a set of cards to help you get started on your adventure!

Teen Titans Comic Has Huge Character Shake-Up

Posted: 29 Apr 2022 03:33 AM PDT

The Teen Titans comic might be getting close to the end, but that didn’t stop DC Comics from including a surprise twist. You should be careful if you haven’t read the latest edition of the series or you’re not looking for spoilers. There are plenty of them ahead!

Currently, theTeen Titans comic series features a wide number of different young superheroes and superheroines. This has all been courtesy of D.C. comics, as well as Tim Sheridan, Peter Pantazis, Tom Derenick, and Rob Leigh. The comic includes many young heroes, including some new faces and some more familiar ones. This ended up in a dramatic fight where the storylines crossed.

Previously, the Future State storyline from 2021 teased that there were going to be some changes coming in the future. Some of these changes were going to take a turn for the worse. So, it appears that the preview for issue #14 of the Teen Titans comic series is going to do just that. The next issue of the Teen Titans comic will feature the ‘departure’ of at least two people from the team.

The Latest Changes for the Teen Titans Academy Comic

Teen Titans Comic

To start with, the teens of the Teen Titans Academy are celebrating their first-ever graduation ceremony. Naturally, this is a very happy time for almost everyone involved. Raven keeps her eye on Cyborg and Beast Boy because they are unable to be at the celebrations.

Of course, many fans had questions about this particular storyline. So, later, the writers revealed that Cyborg and Beast Boy became one element for protection. This surprise revelation comes as a result of the battle of Titans Tower, which ultimately got destroyed. As you might imagine, the duo does not see eye-to-eye on the practicalities of sharing a body!

This will have wide-reaching effects and will work to canonize parts of the Future State storyline. In the original storyline of the Teen Titans comic, Beast Boy and Cyborg became one. They named themselves “Cybeast,” and they worked together for quite some time. So, we can probably expect other elements of the Future State storyline to come true as well.

The Reasons for the Switch-Up

Teen Titans Comic

Naturally, you might find yourself asking what the purpose of such a change could be. Apparently, the editor Mike Cotton really “wanted to have a merged version of Beast Boy and Cyborg.” Write Tom Sheridan immediately agreed with this idea and worked hard to include the storyline in the Teen Titans comic series.

Additionally, this drastic change in character also helps “to explore the dynamic of the relationship between Vic and Gar,” according to Sheridan. After all, there’re only so many things you can do when you’re joined with your best friend!

Sheridan has also teased that there will be quite a few more surprises as a result of them joining together. He has previously mentioned that there’s “a lot more story we have to explore.” Sheridan also spoke about how much fun he has had bringing this twist to life. Honestly, we can’t blame him!

The Future State & Teen Titans Academy Comic

Teen Titans Comic

The Future State storyline was part of DC comics to bring a shake-up of their comic book series. Naturally, this included the Teen Titans comicstoo. DC aimed to bring a more diverse set of heroes to the characters that we know and love. This included various changes to the Justice League superheroes and Teen Titans.

It appears that the newest Teen Titans comic will form just a part of these changes. Based on the crazy things that we’ve seen in the Future State storyline, we can definitely expect plenty more. The next issue of the Teen Titans comic is in stores now.

Skeleton Knight in Another World Getting English Dub

Posted: 29 Apr 2022 03:33 AM PDT

I know some of you prefer to hear your favorite anime in its native Nihongo language. It feels more authentic, and it doesn't appear disconnected. However, there are times when it is just too tiring to read the subtitles. All we want to do is turn on the tv and enjoy the show. Luckily the anime adaptation of Skeleton Knight in Another World premiered in early April of this year will be getting an English dub. After the premiere of Episode 4 last April 28, reports were circulating about the possible cast for the English dub. According to the sources, Jason Lord will handle the ADR Directing with Dani Chambers as the Assistant Director.

What to Expect with Skeleton Knight in Another World English Dub?

While some of us are too tired of watching isekai anime that has ruled the anime airwaves in the last couple of seasons, there are still no signs of slowing down. With the upcoming anime this 2022 and 2023, more Isekai light novel will soon get their anime adaptation. Contrary to what most of you believe, Isekai is a genre that has existed in the realm of Japanese animation for a long time. Some of the most popular titles are Magic Knight Rayearth, Inuyasha, Digimon series, and Fushigi Yuugi.

Even Ghost Fighter and Fairy Tail has some arc with this theme. However, from 2016 to the present, there has been a slew of Isekai anime; some are a hit, most of them a miss. So, what makes this latest Isekai anime different? While the story of Skeleton Knight in Another World may appear like a cliché Isekai, it is a cliché done right.

What To Expect on the Anime Version

Anime

Credit: Hornets and Studio Kai

Skeleton Knight in Another World, is originally a light novel written by Ennki Hakari. In 2014, they first published the story about a gamer trapped in a virtual game, and after eight years, it is finally getting an anime. The story is like Sword Art Online meets Overlord and Skeleton Soldier Couldn't Protect the Dungeon. Unlike the standard Isekai anime with a main character persistent in getting back to the real world, you won't encounter it here. It seems that the main character has entirely accepted his life in the new world. It all includes the tropes you will encounter in an Isekai anime; defeating the bandit, saving gorgeous women, going to the mercenary guild where he has to complete the quest, etc. Pretty much anything that you will expect. Perhaps the saving grace of the anime would be the comedic relief.

The Cast of the Skeleton Knight In Another World English Dub

Skeleton Knight in Another World

Credits: Hornets and Studio Kai

Some of the familiar names included in the cast are Marisa Duran (Chika of Kageki Shojo), who will serve as the voice of Rita, Krystal LaPorte (Misa Takayama of Log Horizon), lending her voice to Lauren. Emi Lo (Michiru Inukai of Talentless Nana) for Ponta has also been mentioned in the report, and Caitlin Glass (Winry Rockbell of Full Metal Alchemist) for Ariane. Brandon Johnson (Tadashi Kikuchi of Sk8 the Infinity) will be the voice of Arc, the skeleton soldier.

HORNETS and Studio Kai are animating the light novel, helmed by Katsumi Ono, who previously handled Yu Gi Oh series. Kenta Tsuboi is in charge of the art direction, and Tsubasa Ito and Eba are responsible for the music score. While it is still too early to conclude, it could be challenging for this anime to get a second season. With hundreds of Isekai anime already on the list and more of them waiting for their anime adaptation, Skeleton Knight in Another World needs to make its mark before that happens. The anime is set to stream soon on Amazon Prime Video and Dinsey+.

Babylon by Damian Chazelle Footage revealed at Cinemacon

Posted: 28 Apr 2022 08:19 PM PDT

La La Land director Damien Chazelle depicts old Hollywood in all its Glamour with the new film Babylon, Starring Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie, and Toby Maguire. First look at CinemaCon

Fans were thrown into a frenzy earlier today when footage of writer-director Damian Chazelle’s highly anticipated movie “Babylon” arrived at CinemaCon. Coming off the success of “La La Land”, Chazelle has surely outdone himself this time with Babylon. The released footage reveals “Babylon ” to be a film that explores the transition out of silent films in the heydays of Hollywood. Having been in the works since 2019, the film features an incredibly star-studded cast including Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie, Olivia Wilde, Li Jun Li, Tobey Maguire, Jovan Adepo, and several other A-list stars.

In the film, we get to see Margot Robbie take on another challenging role as like she normally does. She plays Clara Bow, a roaring twenties movie star in the silent film era of the 1920s. This comes after the unveiling of her 2023 role, Barbie which left fans gushing about her range and skill. The Wolf of Wall Street actress has a track record of delivering excellently well no matter the character she portrays. Whether it is  Once upon a time in Hollywood, Suicide Squad, I,Tonya, Bombshell, or even the upcoming Babylon, the Aussie beauty does not cease to wow her fans with a consistently undeniable top performance. She has worked previously with Brad Pitt in “Once upon a time in Hollywood”. Robbie has successfully cemented her place as a fan favorite. Having her on the cast of Babylon is yet another chance for her to further dazzle fans.

Margot Robbie Babylon

Fox Searchlight pictures/Slashfilm

Brad Pitt as John Gilbert in Babylon

In the released footage, Brad Pitt who seems to be taking the role of John Gilbert, a famous actor, and producer from the 1920s is seen clad in just a tank top and underwear. He declares “we have to redefine the form of movies” as he fires a gun in his hotel room. Later on, he looking all suave, riding an expensive car, and really living the Hollywood lifestyle to the fullest.

Brad also declares later in the film, a little poetically “No actors, no dogs allowed. We changed that. So what happens there on the screen, means something”

We cannot help but expect the very best from Bradd Pitt in Babylon.

Some element of humor is guaranteed if the trailer is anything to go by. Viewers got to witness a hilarious closing scene where a flying spear misses Pitt’s head by some inches. Instead of being fazed, he only uses the opportunity to berate his prop guy that tries to point out that his tent is in the line of fire.

The film also stars Tobey Maguire who plays the comedy legend, Charlie Chaplin. He is also an executive producer of the film.

There is no one has clear knowledge of the plot details even with the release of the trailer. Despite this, it promises to be something eccentric with a fusion of comedy as well.

The upcoming movie set to be released on Christmas day, shows the transition from the silent film era to the "talkies", an informal term for incorporating synchronized audible dialogue rather than readable text plates.
