Granblue Fantasy Versus Update 2.80 Adds Rush, Backshift and Overdrive Posted: 02 Jun 2022 08:00 AM PDT Back in December 2021, Arc System Works said people would see new gameplay systems in Granblue Fantasy Versus in Summer 2022. Now, there's an exact date for the additions. Granblue Fantasy Versus update 2.80 will appear on June 3, 2022. When it does, it will add Overdrive, Tactical Move: Backshift, and Tactical Move: Rush to the game. All three new actions rely on the Skybound Art (SBA) gauge. There's a video going over how each of these new battle actions work in Granblue Fantasy Versus. Folks can see the inputs and how they react with the help of Gran and Djeeta. First, Tactical Move: Rush shows up. It uses 50% of the SBA gauge and requires people to press L2 and the direction they are facing to dash forward. At the 52 second mark, the Tactical Move: Backshift shows up. It is a way to quickly dash backward. Like the Rush, it uses 50% of the SBA gauge. The inputs are similar too. You hold L2 and the direction away from the one you're facing. Finally, Overdrive comes up at the 1:25 mark. This is a "mega buff" that is triggered by pressing L2 and R2 when the SBA gauge is full. You can do it once. When you do that, you'll be able to get increased attack power and your overhead attack will be faster. Your attacks will deal chip damage if blocked, but you won't take any chip damage. Simple command cooldown will be shortened to match technical commands. You'll also be able to immediately use your Skybound Art or Super Skybound Art. Here's the video going over the Granblue Fantasy Versus update 2.80 new battle systems. Granblue Fantasy Versus is available for the PS4 and PC, and update 2.80 will appear on June 3, 2022. Genshin Impact Story Trailer Discusses the Yakshas Posted: 02 Jun 2022 07:00 AM PDT The latest Genshin Impact story quests and The Chasm area hinted at details about Xiao and the yakshas. Now there's a video online offering a bit more backstory. Rather than focusing on one of the yakshas we know, it involves a member of the group remembering their identity and role. Editor's Note: There will be some Genshin Impact story spoilers below if you haven't been keeping up with the Archon Quests, The Chasm, and Liyue's lore. The video begins with one yaksha asking for a person named Menogias. That is one of the known members of the group who protected Liyue and fought for Morax's sake. Rather, there's a mage named Boyang who happened upon this person, who is eventually revealed to be Bosacius. The two came to The Chasm to fight together, and ended up sealed away. As the two talk, Bosacius and Boyang both begin to recall more about their past. Bosacius also eventually ends up also calling for a figure named Alatus. Once he does, he recalls all of the other four yaksha he considered his siblings. As a reminder, you can get the only playable Genshin Impact yaksha again right now. Xiao's rerun banner appeared when 2.7 kicked off. Genshin Impact is available for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, and mobile devices. It will also eventually come to the Nintendo Switch. Shin Ultraman Ultimate Article Figure Will Have LED Eyes and Audio Posted: 02 Jun 2022 06:00 AM PDT Megahouse will release Ultimate Article figures of Ultraman from the Shin Ultraman movie. The large figure will have swappable arms, along with battery-powered audio and LED eyes. The figure will have an overall height of around 40 cm (approximately 15 3/4 inches). Most of the parts will be immovable and attached to the pedestal. However, the set will come with a pair of swappable arms. The owner will be able to choose between the regular fighting stance and the signature Spacium Beam attack. Megahouse also published a new trailer highlighting the figure's audio and lighting features. The pedestal will have a switch to activate different modes. The first toggle to ON1 will mimic Ultraman's eyes lighting upon finishing the transformation. ON2 will play the sounds of the Spacium Beam attack and the flight afterward. Fullmetal Alchemist: The Last Transmutation Live-Action Trailer Shown Posted: 02 Jun 2022 05:00 AM PDT The first film in the Fullmetal Alchemist: The Final Chapter duology, Scar the Avenger, opened in Japan on May 20, 2022, but there's still one more movie to go. That film, Fullmetal Alchemist: Final Chapter - The Last Transmutation is due in a matter of weeks. Ahead of its June 24, 2022 premiere, Warner Brothers showed off a full-size trailer for the film, which will round out the Fullmetal Alchemist live-action trilogy. [Thanks, ANN!] Check out the preview below. Note that the trailer contents may be considered spoilers for both the Fullmetal Alchemist: Scar the Avenger film and the Fullmetal Alchemist series in general. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7L3D9qCRJ9E&
The Fullmetal Alchemist: The Last Transmutation trailer continues events from after Scar the Avenger, kicking off with a conversation between Hohenheim and Father. Shots also show Olivier Armstrong, her brother Alex, her subordinates Miles and Buccaneer, as well as major characters like Scar, Roy Mustang, Riza Hawkeye, Winry, and of course the Elric brothers. Xing characters like Ling Yao and Fu face off against King Bradley. Teases of what seems to be the final confrontation of the storyline are also visible, indicating that Fullmetal Alchemist: The Last Transmutation probably won't be making any major diversions from the plot as told in the original manga. The first anime adaptation of Fullmetal Alchemist in 2003 famously diverged from the manga's story (it was still ongoing at the time) and concluded on its own terms through the 2005 film Fullmetal Alchemist: The Conquerer of Shamballa. The manga received a second anime adaptation, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, in 2009, which ran through 2010 and followed the "canon" storyline directly to its conclusion. Fullmetal Alchemist: The Final Chapter - The Last Transmutation premieres in Japan on June 24, 2022. Its predecessor, Scar the Avenger, is in theaters now. An international release date has not yet been confirmed. The post Fullmetal Alchemist: The Last Transmutation Live-Action Trailer Shown appeared first on Siliconera. |
Laid-Back Camp Mobile Game Includes Gacha Elements Posted: 02 Jun 2022 04:30 AM PDT Developer Enish has shared more gameplay details about the upcoming Laid-Back Camp mobile game, including gacha elements, collectible camping gear, and more. Fans and prospective players can also see how each character will appear in the game. Furthermore, the game is now open for pre-registration for iOS and Android devices in Japan. [Thanks, Gamer!] The Laid-Back Camp mobile game is a video game adaptation of the anime series featuring the same characters and setting. Announced back in February 2022, the mobile title rides the wave of the anime's second season, upcoming theatrical release, and console game. While details have been scarce, we now know what the game will entail. There's a lot to unpack from the shared images, but there will essentially be an event-based story mode and a camping mode. The camping layout mode will allow players to customize and create their own camping sessions using a variety of camping gear. Players can also place characters from the anime at the camp. Doing so allows players to observe how each character interacts through the home screen. Additionally, the Laid-Back Camp mobile game will have gacha elements. It's still unclear what exactly the gacha will allow users to get. However, an image of the game's menu screen does reference the Christmas outfits the characters wore in one episode of the anime. This may indicate that the banners will include outfits for characters. Furthermore, there appears to be a season pass system, as well as challenges to complete, player levels, crafting, and different currencies. You can get a better look at the Laid-Back Camp mobile game in the screenshots below: [gallery columns="4" ids="928906,928902,928903,928908,928904,928907,928905" link="file"] You can also check out gameplay footage of Nadeshiko and Rin enjoying a camping trip together in the video below: https://youtu.be/0DNGzv8Q484 The Laid-Back Camp mobile game is releasing for iOS and Android devices sometime in 2022. Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak Will Not Have Village Quests Posted: 02 Jun 2022 03:30 AM PDT Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak will not have Village Quests. Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak Director Yoshitake Suzuki expanded on this in an interview with Famitsu, stating that the expansion will only have Master Rank quests. He also elaborated on the reason for creating Follower Quests, which was to create a better single-player experience for those who prefer to engage in hunts without other players. [Thanks, Famitsu!] Suzuki elaborates on the lack of Village Quests in Monster Hunter Rise Sunbreak by pointing out the design for Elgado, the new player hub that will appear in the expansion. In their place, Master Rank quests will function similarly to Hub Quests. For these quests, players can engage in co-op or take on these hunts solo if they prefer. This is different from Village Quests, which could only be done alone. Regarding Follower Quests, Suzuki states that while multiplayer is one of the most popular features in Monster Hunter, they wanted to accommodate those who are more used to single-player games.

Ashley and Leone Will Appear in Dragon Quest X Version 6 Posted: 02 Jun 2022 03:00 AM PDT Square Enix revealed the names and biographies of characters appearing in Version 6 of Dragon Quest X Online. Ashley, Leone, and Daphia are characters who went on an adventure several thousand years prior, with Ashley and Leone being twin brothers. They will appear in the new version of the game, which will come out in Fall 2022. [Thanks, ryokutya2089!] Though the three are not completely new to the lore of Dragon Quest X, Version 6 will be when they make their physical appearances. Ashley (Yoshitsugu Matsuoka) is a hero who defeated the Great Demon King Goda along with his twin brother Leone (Nobuhiko Okamoto). Between the two, Leone is the calmer one. As for Okamoto, he has played characters such as Accelerator from A Certain Magical Index and Bakugou in My Hero Academia. Finally, other roles Ueda has played are Kanao from Demon Slayer and Ganyu from Genshin Impact. Dragon Quest X is an online MMORPG version of Dragon Quest. However, an offline version is in development. It originally had a release window of February 2022, but Square Enix delayed it until sometime in Summer 2022. This was due to how much content was in the game, as well as producer Shiraishi wanting the final version of Dragon Quest X Offline to be perfect.
