Kasoori methi (dried fenugreek leaves) are very important ingredient in Indian cooking. It is widely used in North Indian curries. It enhances the flavour of any sabji. I have prepared kasoori methi (dried fenugreed leaves) at home by drying at room temperature. It take 2-3 days depending on the weather. I also bought it from store few times but I notices it has not much flavour and methi leaves are slightly brown. Since I have bought air fryer, I decided to try it at home.
It took 5 minutes in air fryer to dry methi leaves.
Important notes:
- Only use methi leaves (no stems) for this.
- Wash methi leaves at least 3 times or more if it has lot of soil.
- Strain water completely and then spread it on cotton cloth for 15-20 mins.
- Heat air fryer on Air Fry mode.
- When it's hot, spread leaves in one layer inside basket.
- Shake the basket after 4 minutes. Air fry for 1-2 minutes or more if leaves are not completely dry (watch closely)
- Store dried leaves in air tight container at room temperature.
Hope you learned something new as I did!
