Fish and Chips are a national treasure in the UK and Poppie's is a cut above! Established in 1952 they have 3 locations dotted around London in Spitalfields, Camden and Soho. Their menu features a wide variety of "fish suppers", starters and sides. I passed on the picked eggs and jellied eels and settled for traditional F&C. You can choose between haddock or cod; I chose the haddock and it was excellent. The crunch of the batter on the fish and the crisp on the chips is second to none here. I particularly appreciated that my plate was not fouled by any pea substance.
