It was a cold and rainy afternoon in Kurseong, a hill station in West Bengal. We decided to explore the nearby forest, which is known for its scenic beauty and biodiversity. As we walked through the dense trees, we felt the misty air on our faces and heard the sound of waterfalls and birds. The forest was full of different shades of green, from the moss-covered rocks to the ferns and orchids. We felt like we were in a fairy tale.
We soon reached a clearing, where we saw two small huts with a sign that said 'Momo'. We were hungry and curious, so we decided to try some. The hut was run by a friendly old lady, who welcomed us with a smile. She told us that she made fresh Momo every day, using local ingredients. She offered us two varieties: chicken Momo and veg Momo. We ordered both from two huts and waited eagerly for our food.
The aroma of the Momo was mouth-watering. We could smell the spices, the garlic, the ginger, and the meat. The old lady brought us steaming plates of Momo, along with some hot sauce. We thanked her and started eating. The Momo was soft and juicy, with a thin wrapper and a generous filling. The chicken Momo had tender pieces of chicken mixed with onion, coriander, and cheese. The veg Momo had cabbage, carrot and onion. The sauce was spicy. We enjoyed every bite of our Momo, feeling satisfied and happy.
As we ate our Momo, we looked at the forest around us. The rain had intensified, creating a curtain of water that obscured our view. The fog had also thickened, making everything look mysterious and magical. We felt like we were in a different world, away from the noise and stress of the city. We felt relaxed and peaceful, enjoying the company of a friendly dog and the hospitality of the locals.
We left the huts, feeling full and content. We walked back to the dense forest. We had a wonderful time eating chicken Momo and veg Momo at Kurseong forest while dense fog and heavy rains. It was an unforgettable experience that we would always cherish.
